Very good phone camera light!
Got one of these as a gift for my fiance's daughter. She had her senior pictures taken at a studio recently and she loved the lighting. She wanted something to use at home. She was first looking at something to put on her wall, like a big light. But then, I came across this little thing. She wanted it to use with her phone for selfies anyways; so, this looked like a perfect option. It could be used anywhere too! I looked at many reviews, and saw the price wasn't very high; so, I ordered it. It came and I had to test it. Wow, it really works! It has three light levels and really gets bright. My Galaxy S9 camera adjusts perfectly and it makes the pictures so much more vibrant and detailed. You can use this on the front, or rear, facing cameras. So, I packed it back up and gave it to her. Then, I came back to Amazon and ordered a second one for me! This will be great for many purposes. From selfies, to pictures day and night, to lighting for videos, and more! What's best is it is super light, and, small enough to fit in the cargo pocket of my pants. Really, if you are thinking you have a purpose for more lighting for your phone camera, just get this now!

Fantastic, versalile light!
This light is the bee's knees. I use it for a lot of different things. I love it for studying because it spreads light very evenly so it's bright but not harsh. Nothing bothers me more than random harsh shadows while I am writing! I also use it for macro photography- perfect lighting in a small package, which is necessary for macro shots. Tonight, I used it for a zoom meeting. I was outdoors after sunset, and this was my only light source. I simply clipped it to the top of my lapboard at one of the lower settings. It provided excellent, even, soft light! Honestly, I think ANYONE would find this light extremely useful because of its versalitity. The only think I would change is the battery life. I haven't tested exactly how long it lasts. However, you can use it while it is charging, so for longer tasks I just leave it plugged into the wall or a small power bank. If you have read all of this unintentionally lengthy review, you are clearly in the market for something like this. BUY IT! Its usefulness far exceeds its price.

Great Ring Light
I've never used a ring light before but do a lot of Instagram postings for reviews and receive a lot of PR. In doing so, I've always wanted better pictures and although the lowest setting is still very bright for a selfie, it works great for my IG posts! I only gave it a 4/5 star rating because it isn't as nice as some of the other ring lights I've seen. It's priced well but it does not come with a charger so you have to buy a charger separately that works with this ring light and charge via a USB port. Not everyone has the right charger for this, thankfully we did on hand so I didn't have to buy and spend more money. Keep that in mind when buying this though. It holds a good charge I would think but I always have it charging or it's fully charged and waiting until I use it again. The brightness is ridiculously high but that's a good thing! Or, maybe it's not a good thing but I am fairly blinded if I take a selfie with this light, which is rare these days because I honestly just use my regular flash or edit filters with apps now. The pictures are just too much and too bright even with solid makeup on for certain IG looks. If we could have more control over the lighting on this product that would be better for me, such as a slider light to turn up or turn down that brightness instead of just 3 settings.

Comparing and contrasting 5 selfie ring lights
I recently purchased five similarly-priced “selfie lights” for smartphones, with the intention of keeping one – which ever one fit my phone’s case best – and giving away the other four to my friends. I specifically attempted to buy five different models, understanding that we all have different phones and different cases, in an effort to find options that would maximize our chances of all finding a good fit. All are rechargeable using short USB cords; none require AA or AAA batteries. These two items are nearly identical and arrived in nearly-identical packaging. The first one is a little brighter than the second, on all three settings, and has a black back. (In fact, this first model was the brightest out of all five lights that I compared.) The second one has a white back. On both, when trying them on my Galaxy S8’s front-facing (selfie) camera lens, I found that the light from the ring was so bright and diffuse that it confused the camera’s sensors and led to undesirable haziness in my images. This product would be better if the light was more clearly directed to the front of the ring and not also shining through the sides. If I were using this product, I’d have to add dark electrical tape to the perimeter in the hopes of remedying that bleeding light problem. #1: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NACUC38/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Auxiwa Clip On Ring Light for Camera [Rechargeable Battery] Selfie LED Camera Light with 36 LED for Smart Phone Camera, Round Shape, Black #2: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HXTHPXU/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 QIAYA Ring Light for Camera [Rechargable Battery]Selfie LED Camera Light [36 LED] for iPhone iPad Sumsung Galaxy Photography Phones, White These next two models are exactly the same. They’re just being sold by different companies, under different names, in different packaging. Buy which ever one is cheaper at the moment. Neither fit well on the Otterbox Commuter on my Samsung Galaxy S8, when using the rear-racing camera lens, but both were fine with the front-facing (selfie) lens. #3: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MCZ2WY8/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Auxiwa Clip on Selfie Ring Light [Rechargeable Battery] with 36 LED For Smart Phone Camera Round Shape, White #4: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MZ23563/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 FeBite Selfie Light, FeBite LED Selfie Ring Light Rechargable Battery iphone 7 6 6S Plus Samsung Galaxy S7 S6 Edge Plus Note 5 4 3 HTC LG Blackberry Motorola for Perfect Face Slimming Brightness (White) The following dimmable selfie light technically has more lighting levels than the other models; however, I think the other models are easier to use because it’s simpler to click the button once to get to a brighter level than it is to hold down the button on this model, then release it at exactly the precise moment to hit the optimal desired brightness. But this is the only model compatible with the Otterbox Commuter case which protects my Galaxy S8 and the rear-facing camera. (All five of the models above worked fine with the front-facing camera lens.) So this is the model I’ll keep for myself, as I give the others to my friends. I appreciate that it comes with a little bag, to use as a carrying case if you’re throwing this ring light into your purse or backpack. #5: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M4O2QGT/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 LEICESTERCN LST Selfie Light Rechargeable [38 LED] Dimmable Clip Ring Lights Fill-in Lighting Portable for Phone, Tablet, iPad, Laptop, Camera (White)

Big Bright, Small Light
I am not disappointed with this handy, little ring light. It does brighten up pictures well and takes away those little shadows when you are taking pictures with your phone's front-facing camera. I got this light to clip on to my laptop so that my webcam videos would be less dark. For such a small-packaged light, it packs a bright punch! I love that there are three levels of brightness. It gives the right amount brightness that I want without overexposure like my phone's front-facing flash. The only thing is that it seems like this light is not to be on consistently for more than hour. It starts to dim and runs out of battery pretty fast. If you want to have it on longer than an hour, it needs to be plugged in, but that defeats the portability. Good thing it can be charged via USB. Just make sure that you have longer USB cord if you are going to charge the light while using it for your laptop; the USB cord that comes with the light is only 2 inches long. Despite the charge longevity, I still like this light a lot. It's meant for a few minutes of use at a time.

Worth the money
After considering this and a couple cheaper options I decided ultimately to get this one as the product design simply looked better. The rounded edges give it a more appealing aesthetic. Now that I have it in hand, I’m glad I did as the rounded edges make it more comfortable to hold as well. The cheaper ones looked like I was getting what I was paying for with squared off edges and a giant logo across the front of some. My original intent was to use this as a fill light for product photography on my phone. It’s ok for that. It’s kind of a glaring light so consider using the low or medium brightness to keep from blowing out brighter spots. For selfies, it was nice for reducing shadows in lower light locations, but again, remember that too much light will flatten out your features. This would be ok for makeup tutorials though since it’d show a difference in contouring effects well. Pros: -arrived pre-charged and ready to use. -easy to use. Click the button to cycle through brightness levels. -clip feels secure. Strong and also has foam to keep it from slipping and to protect your phone. -can make a significant difference in photos (see attached pics) -rechargeable via USB (has cord, you supply the plug. The one from your phone should be ok) Cons: -I’ll get back to you.

Great little light for a low price!
I 100% recommend this light for Zoom/Webex/Teams etc video calls. I debated buying a more expensive light but figured for this price, it wouldn't hurt to try it first. This little clip-on light more than gets the job done. I've been using it for video conferencing and the difference is wonderful. The light is really bright on even the low setting, so I sometimes need to clip it on something farther away than directly on my computer so it won't be too much of a spotlight on my face. Be mindful that if you wear glasses, this will reflect in them, so you'll want to clip it to something out of view. The battery doesn't last more than a couple of hours, but it recharges quickly. You can also just keep it plugged into your laptop as you use it (the cord is short so you won't be able to clip it on something else during the charging). Save the money and buy this instead of another pricey ring light!

Nice BRIGHT Light
This light was exactly as advertised: (1) inexpensive, (2) three light levels, (3) cordless via rechargeable battery, and (4) easy to clip on edge of monitor. My only request to the manufacturer is to make the lowest light level MUCH lower... possibly by turning off every other bulb? For video conferences, this light washes out my face. I solved this by taping an index card onto the light’s front and hanging the light on the wall behind my desk — farther from my face. A lower light level would eliminate the need for these workarounds. But overall it’s a good product, working as advertised.
