This is a good wire for the price. Used it to make extension wires for my undercabinet lighting, and it worked like a charm

Good quality, full 18AWG thickness, with good insulation. The one small "negative" (for me) is that the red and black insulation softens and melts at fairly low temperature ... that is, it's not well suited for use with soldered connections. If you're not planning on soldering it, then it's fabulous for general-purpose speaker or hook-up wire.As others have noted, the black "Monoprice" and wire info stencil is repeated every foot down its entire length, so it's not ideal for hiding against a white wall. But it's intended for IN-wall, so that shouldn't be an issue for most.

Received timely and in good condition. Yeah Amazon. I opted to purchase the two wire into a single casing for easy of handling and running. Make sure to comply to the wiring standards of your speakers and sound system use. My user manual indicated class two wiring. I also tinned my leads to make a solid end and avoid fraying for a good connection. If you don't make a good connection, you will find scratchy sound at time.
