I have not been able to use these successfully yet, and it's pretty frustrating. The snaps do not come together easily. I don't know if I just got a bad set, but on both of them, even if I am not trying to do it with my hair up, if I am just holding it in my hand and trying to snap the buttons together, it's pretty difficult. It requires some muscling. I'm not a weakling by any means, but these just don't seem well made at all. I bought them because they were cheap and I figured they must be basically the same as all the other ones..but these are useless and I wish I had returned them. I do have thick hair but it's not super long or anything and I have had it thinned out. I can't get these darn things to work. The snaps are kind of set into the ends too deeply so it's hard to tell where exactly they line up by using your fingers, and unless your hair is long enough to do a serious top knot (my hair isnt long enough for that, and I dont like my bun directly on top of my head anyway) then you won't be able to see what you're doing. You have to go by feel--which is how it is with all these bun devices, but I expect that you should be able to put two snaps together without great difficulty, but this is just not the case with the ones I got.

These are ok, but I prefer the donut ones because this snap is hard to close. I also think the big plastic thing on the band is too big to hide in my fine hair.It also did not come in a hot bunz box, FYI.

Works but not for children with fine hair that doesn't cover very well.

I love these things! I had my last set for over 4 years and they were still in great condition - UNTIL THEY WERE STOLEN!!! I hope these last just as long - well, longer actually!

Not good for thin hair

LOVE this. Great for Long hair to go into Buns. The traditional "Sock Bun" will not work for my long hair. This makes it look very professional on the days where I don't have time to wash the hair.
