Arrived very quickly. All good from my perspective. I like the see-through side of things. It would be nice to have an off/on button/switch. When I sleep my computer, the blue light stays on as it's plugged in. Small thing.Much quicker than my previous enclosure which was only usb 2.0.

So this was bought to house a 1TB HDD i took from my laptop when it packed up as it had a lot of music i couldnt get again, Initially it wouldnt recognise the HDD so i put the HDD in a powered Caddy i have for my 4TB and it showed up, so transfered what i needed off the 1TB then formatted it and it instantly showed up using this caddy (strange) also its not quite clear how the caddy opens as it came with no instructions at all, finally figured out it slides apart rather than pulls apart.

I bought this to swap the Sata drive to a solid state drive in my MacBook and it works perfectly.

For anyone struggling to open this, just look at the pictures of the item on Amazon, it shows you it just slides about half an inch, then lifts open, to close just place the cover on the top leaving about half an inch left to slide it shut. There's an included sticky pad which helps keep the drive from rattling and the lid shut, I put this at the end of the drive and it shuts absolutely fine.

Bought three for sorting some old disk drives. One of which is dead. Tried other drives and exchanging cables. Unit is definitely faulty. Poor quality control.
