Business and pleasure don't mix - well maybe sometimes!
Awesome. She is quiet, reserved and a good business woman. He is sure, handsome and a Shield. When she meets him to conduct business, she never expected to find herself married to him. All she wanted was too prove to her family that she was a great business person. He is sure of himself, handsome and a Shield. A man with some special powers and tools. What both didn't expect was that this deal would lead to an explosive find, a bunch of crooks and a fight for their lives. Will they both survive? Will she ever really become the Shield's Lady. Loved her bickering and the book was an interesting view into a future series set in Harmony. Loved both characters as they became more real with every page. Have to admit that I first got this in a hard copy but wanted one I could take anywhere.

Engrossing
Got really into this book from the first page. Enjoyed learning about the Shields as the story progressed and although this book is set on another planet managed to grasp the storyline easily. Seems like this book has been out for a number of years but glad I discovered it as it doesn't really age like other sci-fi stories can. An oldie but a goodie that I will read again.

This story gripped my imagination. Its background was vivid, consistent and believable enough. Suspension of disbelief is necessary to the enjoyable reading of fantasy.

Bit disappointing
I am a big fan of writes like Elizabeth Lowell, Amanda Quick as I like the way they portray their heroine's and hero's. But didnt much like the heroine in this book which kind of spoilt the book for me. Would recommend majority of her books but this is one book I would say get from the library. Its not a keeper.

Up to standard
Always enjoy Jayne Ann Krentz and this was no exception. Different to some of her others but still worth reading.
