Works really well with the re:Markable2
This was an investment, as it's expensive for a tablet stylus. However, from experience I think it's worth every penny. Two reasons: a) It's by far the best stylus I've used with my re:Markable2 tablet. It actually feels like using a pen on paper, and you can write at normal handwriting speed with it, unlike the many cheap £10-£15 stylii out there. This alone makes it worth it, as it actually makes writing on the re:Markable a pleasure. b) It's WAY more comfortable to hold inthe hand than the thin "stick" stylii that fill the chap end of the market. Not a big deal for a few scribbles, but using those things gets tiresome if you're writing out a brain dump over many pages. Infact it's like writing with a decent rollerball pen, such as the ArtLine's, which are particularly pleasurable to write with. If I had one minor criticism, it's that the clip is a bit too big to fit on the side of the folio case I have for my re:Markable. However, that's a personal preference as I travel a lot, and if I used it only at home, or I had a case with a place to clip it to, it's not a big deal, and can be remedied by buying a case that has this (I bought my case before buying the stylus). On the bonus side, it also comes with two replacement nibs, which is even better as I chose this because I'd already read that the nibs are long lasting. Summary: Expensive, but worth it. If you have a re:Markable2, you'll enjoy using this stylus with it.

Solid Product - 10 minute reaction
This is a brilliant product. Only been using it a few minutes, so if my view changes I will update this review. It feels good in the hand. Writes well. Massive bonus is the lid aside from being metal (I think) will protect the nib and tip of the stylus from getting damaged. My RM II stylus got damaged because it didn't have a lid and the bag it was in fell off tthe the seat it was on (it was in its case as well). I had the RM II Stylus with the eraser, but I think with the RM II interface, it's actually easier to select the eraser option than it is to rotate the stylus to use the eraser end. So it's true the eraser end doesn't work on the RMII but you don't need it. Seriously, try using the stylus you have to select the eraser option. The RM II stylus should be so much cheaper, in my view, way overpriced. The only downside is the magnetic holder on the RM II doesn't work, but it's a bigger stylus and it's not practical. But the bigger size is better in the hand. Not sure if this is a negative point. Get a case with a stylus holder, and you should be good :-) It actually feels more like a normal pen and pad because of the lid , size , shape and design etc. I have yet to confirm my old remarkable nibs work in this pen. If they don't, I will update this review and let you all know. It was a deciding factor for choosing this stylus. However, others have said it does accept the RM II nibs. To use the button on the RM II joshualowcock.com then add the following guide/how-to-install-the-lamy-al-star-pen-button-eraser-hack-on-the-remarkable-2 you can then use the instructions to enable the button

Good Pen for Kindle Scribe 2024
I have been using this pen on my new Kindle Scribe 2024 for a number of hours only (received it this morning) and I do like it indeed. The unique thing about it for me is that it has a 0.35 mm tip, compared to the regular 0.70 mm. The built quality seems good so far, but it's too early to judge, isn't it? The Function Button is convenient and responsive, the grip is also good and comfortable. As far as I know, this is the only digital stylus with a classic pen design out there, which is also unique. Only issue with this pen is that its brand name will always remind me of our spineless Foreign Minister.

Good alternative stylus to use with RM2
I bought this to use with my RM2 tablet, as it was cheaper than the RM stylus. The nib that comes with it is a bit scratchy but it can easily be replaced with RM nibs, which I did. This has meant the writing feel on the tablet is the same as the original RM pen. Apart from the price, I like the fatness of this pen. It has the feel of a fountain pen. I mostly use fountains pens, so I feel very comfortable writing and drawing with it. (If you prefer pencil like thinness, Staedtler Norris stylus might be an option but that doesn't accept RM's nibs). Unlike the RM pens, neither Staedtler or Lamy are magnetic. The Lamy however, has a cap with a clip, protecting the nib and allowing it to be put in the pocket like ordinary pens, which I prefer. There is an eraser button, but that doesn't seem to work with the RM2. Whilst loss of this function doesn't affect the way I use the tablet much, it does make this pen more comparable to the RM Marker (without eraser) rather than the Marker Plus (with eraser) - which I thought I was getting. Thus the saving was 20% rather than 50%. Overall, if you are considering buying this as an alternative to the RM pens, price alone is unlikely to be the driver as the price gap has narrowed. However, if you like the thick, fountain pen feel, built-in eraser is not your priority and prefer a clip cap over magnetic attachment, then this would be a good alternative to use with Remarkable tablets.

Best stylus pen I have
This pen woeks perfectly on my Boox, my Bigme and my Scribe. THe button works fine on the Scribe. I have it on the eraser setting, but you could use any of the options the Scribe offers. There is nothing to tell you how you could use it on anything else though - no instructions whatsoever. For me the thickness and the weight are just right; it's all a matter of personal taste. This is the only stylus I know of that has a cover for the nib with a clip, and that's really useful for protecting the pen if you want to carry it in your pocket, briefcase etc. It also balances the pen perfectly when you put the cover on the other end. Altogether a good buy.

I was a bit frustrated with the pen that comes with the Onyx Boox Note Air. The software is great, but the pen was a bit slippery and it's magnets were too weak so it often fell off the side of the tablet, ultimately getting damaged. The Lamy seemed like a good alternative, and it is. Pros: - Better nibs: the Lamy has a better feel on the glass screen of the Note Air. It feels like a felt-pen rather than a slippery piece of plastic. That makes writing easier. - Better sensitivity: the Lamy can register very light strokes as very thin lines, and heavy strokes much thicker. The standard Note Air stylus has maybe half the sensitivity range in practice. - Erase button: the button on the Lamy is well positioned (if a little hard to find) and works perfectly as an eraser, making the Note Air's note taking software even smoother to operate. - High Quality: the aluminium body of the Lamy is light (I initially thought it was plastic) and strong, and the lid protects the pen when you're not using it. The pocket clip is also very strong. - Comfortable: the thickness of the Lamy body and the sculpted shape of the nib area of the pen is all nice and comfortable in use. Cons: - Storage: without magnets, and very chunky, the Lamy has no natural storage place on the Note Air or its case. Fortunately, the clip is strong enough to clip the Lamy to your bag or shirt or whatever, just like a normal pen. - Price: I think the Lamy is decent value, but it's more than $0 extra, which is what the standard pen costs you. Having said that, I think the Lamy is a decent investment for its usability across multiple platforms, including Chromebooks, Samsung phones and tablets, other e-notes, and WACOM pads. Conclusion: If you have a Note Air and you use the pen at all for note taking or sketching, this is worth buying: it will certainly improve your experience of the Note Air.

Soddisfatta!!

Musiałem zakupić trzy razy, ponieważ dwie poprzednie sztuki przyszły z wyciągniętymi końcówkami. Ewidentnie ktoś kupuje i wyciąga końcówki. Jakość wydaje się ok, pisze się przyjemnie, choć ja wolę bardziej twarde końcówki.
