ZOJIRUSHINHS-18 10-Cup (Uncooked) Rice Cooker,White

This is my second Zojurshi rice cooker. I had my other one for 20 + years. It’s incredibly simple to use— just add rice and water, press the button and let it do its magic! The rice comes out perfectly cooked every time, whether it's white rice, brown rice, or even quinoa. I love how the automatic keep-warm feature ensures my rice stays at the perfect temperature until I'm ready to serve. Cleaning is a breeze too, with a non-stick inner pot that wipes clean effortlessly. This is the only brand I will use!

This rice cooker has been my family’s saving grace. It is very easy to use and clean, and you can be sure that mold and bacteria won’t be forgotten in there.We previously owned a Tiger brand rice cooker with a screwed on secure lid. It was an absolute nightmare to clean! Bacteria and mold would build up where the lid was screwed in and locked in place, and you would need to unscrew the lid every time just to clean in between the folds. My partner also has a terrible habit of forgetting the rice in the cooker, and on a few occasions had left rice to rot in there for weeks at a time. This caused a couple of fruit fly infestations in our home, and cleaning the thing was such a chore. The odour had gotten trapped between the gasket and the mold left stains that were very hard to remove even with ascorbic acid.When we switched over to this rice cooker, it’s been much easier for my partner to see right away if he had forgotten any rice in the machine. It’s got a much sleeker design, takes up much less space, and is so much easier to clean — no need to take it apart just to clean along the folds or gaskets anymore.I give it 3 stars because the material does feel very cheap and doesn’t feel as sturdy as our last cooker, and the cost isn’t very justified for what it is. This cost about as much as our last rice cooker, with much less functionality and less durability. It would be nice if there were settings for quick cook, regular cook and steam like our old one did. This is a very expensive tool and should be priced at so much less than it is given how basic it is, and how thin and cheap the materials are.

I've been using this rice cooker for over a decade now (I bought a new one from here just in case my rice cooker breaks in the future).Unlike most rice cookers, this one has lasted me a decade or probably a little over 10 years and barely has any scratches, malfunctions, etc.This one has a removable container inside that holds the rice and can be taken out to clean. It has a similar covering around the container to give it a grey color like how some metal pots have an outer covering to make it look speckled. However, after washing it for around 10 years, I only have a few tiny dots of the covering that were scraped off.There's only one lever to press, activating a light that notifies you if your rice is being kept warm or cooked.The downside is that the hole to remove steam may sometimes splatter steam and water used to cook the rice around the area. I used to notice this when I first got the rice cooker, but nowadays I barely see this happen. This is not the rice cooker's fault though as it is due to pressure building up inside the rice cooker that needs to be let out ASAP.Overall, I love this rice cooker.

Great works very well and wife is very happy with it.
