Really works!
I’ve now been using this helmet 80 times- around 4 x a week. The difference is amazing. I had had extreme hair loss, but now there is very healthy new growth coming- about 2 inches long. I would highly recommend this product- it is an investment for new hair growth. Excellent product.

Worked for me
I waited nearly 6 months to write this review in order to assess if it really made a difference. It has certainly made a big difference to my hair. It is noticeably thicker with growth even in areas where my hair was thinnest. A number of people who have no idea that I have been using this have commented about how nice my hair is looking. I have been careful to use this just twice weekly as recommended and I will continue to do so. It can't give me what I have never had - which is a great head of hair but it has restored a lot of which I have lost, which really is all I could ask for. Now I can look forward to not needing to buy a wig in the future . I am delighted!

New growth!
I am a 28 y/o f with female pattern hair loss. Been using minoxidil for 1 year and I have been using this product since August so roughly 7 months. Today I made a central parting, where my hair loss is worse and noticed that I have what looks like a tiny mohequin of one inch hairs! All consistently the same length, maybe 50 of them just along my central parting, albeit not super thick, but there is hope!

Expensive and some parts damaged my hair
It’s an expensive piece of kit and it’s difficut so see any improvement in my hair yet . The product itself is odd. As it is for all head sizes they give you three foam strips to go inside the helmet should you need them. The trouble is they are flimsy and are stuck in place with Velcro like tape . The Velcro like tape catches on your remaining hair and pulls it out !!! Not good. The helmet without the tape is uncomfortable. The tape also falls off all the time . So worth it?? I’m not convinced.

Cost-effective, user-friendly, service-backed RESULTS!
Thank goodness for Theradome! My hair had never caused me concern until my mid-forties. I then started experiencing slight thinning at the crown and temples. Taking this and other symptoms into consideration, my doctor prescribed a blood test. It indicated that I was in perimenopause. I decided to take prompt action by ordering the laser helmet, which I had heard about in the press. I am glad I did. I believe its regular use has prevented further shedding and indeed restored much of the volume I had previously. I have been using it for a few years. I am now in full menopause. Yet the situation is stable. So I am maintaining this with less frequent treatments. I am not sure they combat the inevitable hormonal change in texture. But this can be improved with a nourishing colour (vibrancy is not affected by the lasers). My advice - do not wait for an emerging hair loss problem to worsen, be proactive by purchasing a Theradome helmet (from the approved stockist, who also provides excellent customer care)!

Did not charge and was returned
The helmet never charged, so returned it. It was fine to return the helmet - no fuss. That is why I gave it two stars - otherwise I would have given one star.

Bad customer service
I had a very frustrating experience with Theradome regarding my recent order. The shipping process was poorly handled, and the options they provided didn't suit my needs. To make matters worse, it seems the company doesn't take responsibility for these issues. I’m disappointed with how the situation was managed and hope they can improve their customer service in the future.

March 2018: Arrived on time, comes with sturdy carry case. Unit is well made. Easy to use, just charge the Li-ion battery and press the button to start. It talks to you, but it's not annoying, 'Ready for treatment, place on head', ...'Five minutes remaining', ...'Treatment No. 2 completed.' If you take it off your head during treatment the lights go out. With it back on the head the lights come back on, and she says, “Treatment resumed.” It shuts off after 20 minutes. Overall very good design. No discomfort. My wife is using it also. I plan to start with one treatment per day, five times a week, M to F. If any negative results, will reduce to three treatments a week, M-W-F. The instructions say to use it at least twice a week, and allow a full 24 hours between treatments. I expect to see some improvement in existing hair strength after two months, 50 treatments. I expect to see new hair re-growth after 12 months, 260 treatments. I am 58 years old, and get my hair cut about once every ten weeks,... so not much happening up there in one month. April 2018: I plan to update this review each month with progress, if any. May 2018 update: It's working. Using six days a week. After 42 treatments I see stronger hair, the wavyness is coming back, and small new hairs coming in. I have a small red birth mark on my upper forehead, my hair line was well above this mark,, now I see fine hair next to and in front of it again,... the birth mark is not moving up my head! The hair line is moving back down. Increased to 5 stars. February 2019 Update. We continue to achieve great results. More thicker stronger curlier hair. The hairs that come back are the same color and texture as before. For several years [from about age 54 to 57] I was going about ten weeks between haircuts. Last year I after I started using the Theadome red laser hemit I got my hair cut every six weeks. Now, after nearly a year of treatment, I get my hair cut every three weeks, as I did when I was in my thirties,, the computer at GreatClips is keeping track. The lady at GreatClips can easily see the difference and told me, “Just keep doing exactly whatever you are doing.” The customer service at Theradome is excellent. The company stands behind their products. Dec 2022 Update. Still going strong after 1017 treatments. The battery was easy to replace. We were traveling over seas for a while and when my wife, 74 years old, got back to her regular hair dresser she screamed, “Oh my goodness! Honey, where did you get all this hair?!” Nov 2023 Update. The battery charger finally quit. Everything is still working, but the helmet can’t charge the battery. Theradome sent me a replacement battery and power adapter for free; when that didn’t fix it they offered me a replacement helmet at a 25% discount and free extended warranty. Determined to make it work, I dug the little circuit board out of the end of the battery, bought a battery holder, battery charger, and several new 18650 rechargeable batteries from Batteries Plus. I twisted the wires together, plugged it back in, stuck the battery holder to the helmet with double-stick tape,… “Ready for Treatment, Place on Head.” It’s not pretty, but it works. About once a week, I need to pull out the battery and swap it with the one in the charger. The reason there are three wires for the battery is the over-temperature alarm; when you hear the helmet say, “Error, Temperature High,” I believe she’s referring to the battery. Some cheap Chinese batteries don’t have over-temperature protection, even though there are three wires, the battery is telling the helmet everything is Ok even when it’s getting close to thermal run-away. Always buy Theradome replacement batteries. You could save $20 on a cheap battery, but your helmet could catch fire. Lithium-Ion batteries can be very dangerous. For my external battery setup, the charger on my nightstand has over-temperature protection built in.

I purchased it on 10.02.2023. The guarantee is 1 year. Don`t forget to reister it in their site. Extended guarantee of 5 years only for customers who live in the USA?! Realy? I pay the ame price as them! The replacement battery may not be shipped to our area – check it first! Let’s see how long will work. I grade it 4 stars and will be back to revise it If I am not satisfied with the result.
