Travelon Anti-Theft Heritage Hobo Bag

I travel a lot, therefore I am quite picky when I choose the bag that I will relay on during the time I will be away. First I am looking for the" friendliness " of the bag, and yes, there is such a thing as an annoying companion even if it is an object. Then the size and then the price. But look, I am holding everything of importance in the bag and the bag is with me all the time, so yah I am looking for a friendly companion. I want my bag to stay on my shoulder, to balance comfortable when I move, not to scratch my hand with the zipper when I reach in, and to to force me into a war when I want to put something in. Well, this Travelon Anti-Theft Heritage Hobo is really nice and friendly. Is made of thick but soft canvas, so it does not have that nylon feel. It looks ready for adventure in a rugged but not overly sporty. You can wear it on the shoulder or over the body and it stays put balanced perfectly. The zippers are not attacking you when you reach in and there is no need to struggle to put things in or to take them out. Now about the size : is about perfect. You can put in a kindle , an I pad air, a travel organizer with with your passport ,a small camera, your " plus" size phone, chargers, make- up. and you still have room to play with ... and that is the main compartment only !There is another secured compartment in front that can hold your wallet and keys and whatever you use more often but need to be secured from wondering hands, in the back of the bag there is yet another compartment that can hold a book easily, a map , sunglasses, napkins, even an compact umbrella. I have the Pewter color and is quite pleasant, the insides are a nice material that does not get dirty easily and more important , is not of a color that makes you cringe when you look inside, because frankly "pink" is way overrated and other pastel colors are good for luggage. This is a bag .What I like the most about it is the way is compartmented and how practical it is , the size and feel and even the color. I would have liked the possibility of another material beside the canvas, but I think that I would have chosen the canvas anyway . I give it five stars !

I’ve had my eye on this purse for awhile , and just decided to order it last week. I like the color ( green) . The material is really tough . I honestly think it would last for decades . The purse is heavier than I thought it’d be , but it’s not bad. I liked the shorter strap as an option, as I’m not really a fan of long straps. It has a roomy inside , with an inside deep zipper pocket, along with 2 open pockets on the other side that fit phone and my inhaler.It also has an outside front and back zipper compartment. I use the back one for my kindle. The zippers are a bit “sticky” ? I guess you’d say. I’m thinking maybe it’s because they’re new and haven’t been used yet.The purse size is plenty big enough for me , but I only carry the basics. The top opening is also not super wide. I can get my wallet and checkbook out with no problem , but it might be an issue for you if you carry other items that are wider.To sum it up, the purse is very sturdy and should last a really long time. I don’t think you could wear it out.

I purchased this as an alternative to the Travelon Anti-Theft Flap-Front Cross-Body Bag. That bag was very thin in width and I needed something that was roomier. Also, that bag had too many pouches and compartments—I was always hunting for things in it.I like the Hobo Bag style. It is wider at the base, so I could fit a lot into it. I ordered it in Indigo, which is a canvas fabric. It is the color of dark denim. The interior is blue and tan striped fabric. It would appear that this bag will also wear like denim. After a couple of weeks in Europe, there is some fading at seams and edges. It is washable and I suspect it would fade. The bag comes with two straps—a short strap and the cross-body strap. The later is adjustable. There are zippered compartments on the back and front exterior of the bag. There are two interior compartments. One is a snap compartment that is not anti-theft. The main zippered compartment is anti-theft. Inside the main zipper compartment is a smaller zipper compartment and two pouches. The pouches are the perfect size for a cell phone and glasses. This bag had a better design for my purposes and it was earlier to keep things organized. I never had trouble finding what I needed. My main complaint is the weight of this bag. It is heavy, even when it is empty. When traveling it is nice to have things that are as lightweight as possible. Even with the weight, I like this bag better than the Flap-Front Cross-Body.

Do I love this bag too much? Possibly. I bought three Travelon bags (the other two: 3 compartment crossbody and signature hobo) because it's so hard to tell from pictures and descriptions which will be the best. As soon as I laid eyes on this, I knew it was the one! The quality is fantastic, it's adorable, and the size is perfect. I would use this bag even without all the anti-theft features.It's barely tall enough to fit my 20 oz Camelbak bottle, but a regular water bottle would fit perfectly inside.There are four major compartments, plus the zippered RFID pocket inside the main compartment (I missed one in my pictures). I wish the RFID pocket was a little bigger because my wallet doesn't actually fit in it.The straps are wide and comfortable. The bag is soft and super cute! It's cool that it comes with two different length straps. You just have to decide before you go out which length you want. I usually opt for the crossbody because I like my hands totally free. But the shorter one is great to have. The size of the bag is perfect for me. I'm only 5'1" so big bags look weird on me. This bag is fairly spacious but not at all too big.
