I moved to a new place with pretty hard water (gives that squeaky clean feeling as the particles in the water cause friction) that's super chlorinated as well. My acne was breaking out for about 3 months... It was the worst condition that my skin has ever been in... and I couldn't figure out why. Finally, I realized it must've been the water. So I searched Amazon for a water filter and found this gem. It's affordable. And very easy to install, it came with instructions and even plumber's tape to help keep things secured. You just follow the guide and screw the parts onto your shower faucet. It hasn't affected the water pressure much in my opinion. Water still flows pretty steadily. I've had it installed for a bit over a month and gosh, my acne has improved so much. On a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 being the worst acne that I had before getting this, I'm probably at a 4.5 now. It started out like almost everyone having the small leak from between the casings. I realized that when I took it apart to look inside, everything was dry.. including the big O ring that's supposed to keep the water from leaking out. Not thinking, I put it back together as it was. I took it apart again and lightly lubricated the O-Ring with MCT oil I have at home, it's food grade oil, not automotive oil. Dry O-Ring will bind as you turn and create small leak. Let the gaskets do the work, no Teflon tape. Water feels great on my skin, smells and tastes great too. It's my first time using this and hope to have great results.Update after a year of use...I subscribed to get filter replacement. The filter arrived today 1/15/2025. I went to replace the filter. I noticed some of the thread from the Heavy Duty casing had broken off and upon close inspection, there's a major crack on the case which rendered this unit useless. Minus 1 star. See pictures.
