Grandkids love this, not to play competitively as much as independently.

I bought this game several years ago for my daughter, who has loved playing it - for a long time it was her first choice when picking out a game to play. It's an easy game to master, and takes only minutes to play, but requires the child to stay completely focused - which they do because it's faced paced. The game is good for visual and spatial skills, and has won a couple of awards - the Parents Choice Gold Award for one. Yes, as others have commented, it has pieces that can come out - don't most games have loose pieces? This makes it easy to mix up the squares to replay. Did I mention it's a fast, easy game? I just bought 2 more Square Up games for my niece and nephew - they will love them!

I love the large size of the tiles for little kids to move around. There is one pro & con on the outermost circle of tiles:1. Pros: Very useful for young kids to manipulate the tiles around the square to get the tile to where they need to.2. Cons: It takes a bit for the kid to realize the actual puzzle starts in the second row, second column. Have to close the lid, explain their target 9 squares. But, once the kids understand that, its great. Kid loves it. Will use it in travel - light & tiles wont fall off. Very good for exercising the little brains and adult brains! So far looks good in durability. Have played only a few times. So, giving it four stars.

This is a high quality game and well worth the price. Challenging and fun to play with my 10 yo.

I gave as an early Xmas gift to my 11 year old grandson. We really liked playing it. It can be played by an individual or in pairs. If you like games and puzzles - check out this fast paced game. Quick shipping too.

This game is like the old slide puzzle games I had when I was kids and now you can race to see who can get their pattern set first. I like that this game can be played independently or with another person. It's nice and refreshing to use your brain and you don't need all these trinkets or sounds to make it fun. My son is 8 years old and absolutely loves this game.

Lo he jugado con mi hija de 8 años. El juego es sencillo, siendo al principio el objetivo completar las secuencias y según vas cogiendo práctica el reto es hacerlo rápido. Creo que es bueno desde 6-8 años y realmente a partir de 10 años creo que pasa a ser demasiado sencillo.

We tried this game at a friend's house and liked it so much that we ordered one for family. We also gave it as a birthday gift to our child's class (the birthday celebrant said she enjoyed it as well). You can play it on your own or against another person.

My daughter asked for this game when she saw it advertised in the 2nd Edition of the Brain Box Magazine so I bought this for her 11th birthday.The first game she lost and now she's a mastermind. It's a game of logic and speed. Shake the small cube and match the pattern on your larger tile, flip the lid down before your opponent and you win.Just as I am about to slid my last tile into place and flip the lid my daughter has already flipped the lid down and won.You can play it on your own or against someone else.
