Customer service deserves 5+ stars, but large incubator does not heat correctly
If I could split the rating between product and customer service. Customer service would easily get 5 stars and would get even more if I could give them more stars! They respond promptly, and they have done an excellent job to work out the various issues I have had! That being said, I have had issues with their product, which is why the overall rating is not 5 stars. I ordered the "new and improved" model, thinking it was an older model that a friend highly recommended (which turns out to be out of stock for the time being). I had high hopes the "new and improved model" would live up to its predecessor. Sadly, in my experience, it does not seem to. The first incubator I received came broken - with a wire just hanging loose, which I was assured happened in transit. Good Mother worked with me to try to help me fix it so that I did not have to wait for a replacement as I had eggs waiting to go into the incubator, but when that did not work, they arranged for a replacement to be sent. The second incubator arrived about a week later (being delayed in transit for some reason), and everything appeared normal. However, when I set it up, I had trouble getting the temperature to stabilize. The company assured me that the fluctuations were normal, as the "new and improved" model sought to simulate a mother hen's body heat. So, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try hatching eggs. However, the incubator struggles to hold the necessary temperature for hatching eggs. Using an internal thermometer (the incubator is in Celsius and does not read accurately the internal temperature), the temperature rarely went above 98 degrees F. Even by manually increasing the temperature, it would only spike to above 101 degrees F momentarily before going back down to 97-98 degrees F, never staying between 99 and 100 F for any amount of time. Beyond this, I noticed due to using two thermometers at first and moving them around in the incubator, that the incubator has significant hot and cold spots (the cold spots being more around 95 degrees F). I tried insulating the incubator as recommended, but that only caused the momentary temperature spikes to be higher while not stabilizing the temperature where it needed to be or making a difference in the hot/cold spots within the incubator. In trying to salvage a hatch, I have learned that at least the incubator I was sent, only the eggs placed in the middle of the incubator have a chance at hatching, because that is where the temperature stays the warmest and most constant. I share this in case someone finds themselves with a large incubator that also does not heat correctly. (Of course, the goal in purchasing a large incubator was to hatch more than just the eggs in the middle, which is one reason I say that I have been disappointed with the product. I do wonder if the size of the large model is what makes it susceptible to the large fluctuations.)Although my experience with the product has been disappointing, Good Mother customer service has been exceptionally accommodating. Not only have they provided a full refund for the product without requiring that I send the second (defective) incubator back (since I am hoping that I might be able to baby a few of the eggs I currently have in the incubator through to hatch and do not have another incubator to transfer them to), but they have also agreed to compensate me for the money I lost because of 2 dozen eggs that have not survived because of these issues. Although I would not necessarily give this product a 4 star rating, the customer service deserves 6 or 10 stars for going above and beyond to help their customers and rectify issues that arise. In my experience, I am not sure I would recommend the newer model large incubator, but the company themselves are fantastic to work with. I am hopeful they may manufacture more of their previous model, at which point I would be delighted to order from them again.

The good mother incubator a good choice!
The media could not be loaded. The good mother incubator was an excellent choice for me and my students. I was skeptical about the product at first because I wasn’t sure if it Would be a successful. When the eggs hatched my students and I were truly amazed. The entire school started to stop by to take a look at our little chicks. The teachers are taking turns bringing the chicks home over the weekend. Everyone has pitched in to make sure that they’re warm and fed. Even the custodial staff pitched in and checked in on the babg chicks at night. What a very exciting project.

Works very well! Hatched 5 chicks just last week.
Follow the instructions. Do not add more than the 100ml water every two days.

Terrible product with huge temperature swings and inability to keep temperature at number set
UPDATE: Not only are we facing wild temperature swings, but the humidity seems to be impossible to control accurately. Again, we have another incubator (smaller) and have experienced NONE of these problems. We've initiated the return with Amazon.Don't waster your time with this. There are routinely differentials of six degrees between the temperature on the display and temperature within the incubator. You chase the temperature all day long as the temperature isn't always just six degrees cooler, but sometimes it heats beyond the set temperature. There is no consistency whatsoever, except that more frequently than not the temperature slips below the viability temperature of 97 degrees. I've spent the last several days in discussions with the seller who blames this on my thermometer, saying their "probe is of industrial grade, and [my] thermometer used daily is of civilian grade." This is total garbage as I've used multiple thermometers simultaneously in the product and all reflect the same variations noted above. Crap product, and the reviews make zero sense. Seller is of no help. I should also note that my "civilian grade" thermometers all reflect the proper temperature in my other incubator, so the Seller's excuse is ridiculous.

Auto turner won’t work
We have had the incubator for about a year, but just tried to get it set up and the auto turner pin won’t move. Any suggestions for how to get it to work again? Worked great last spring and summer.

Very good incubator
We have three of these, each hold 9 Chicken eggs. Could hold more smaller eggs. Easy to set up and use, very stable temperature and automatic turning of eggs.

Really great incubator...
Been using this beauty for a while now. Super quiet, hatch rates are great. Holds temp and humidity no issues. I even lend it out to schools to hatch chicks. Super little incubator. Instruction are easy to follow. Would recommend 100%
