Big Butterflies
Partly my fault, I didn't read the dimensions, these are 2.75" across, which is much too large for my miniature fairy gardens. They are fairly well made and pretty enough though. However, they do take a long time to arrive, in fact I had forgotten I ordered them. And the packaging was pretty cheap but they did arrive intact. So I guess if you have a use for them and don't mind waiting a while, they're great. But I would not recommend them for most fairy gardens, unless your depicting a scene out of "Mothera".

Pretty, but basically unusable...
These are paper on tiny stems--if I place them in the flower pots I was planning to use, I believe any watering of the plants, or rain, would ruin the butterflies completely. Very fragile, and I had to wait a very long time to receive this order.

Too much fun
The butterflies, contrary to the reviews of them being paper, are actually a thin plastic material--which seems pretty sturdy. They arrive flat and you open them up. Packaging was great, no issues there. All arrived in perfect condition.I originally bought these for my outdoor plants, but had so much fun placing them in random plants inside my house that I only had a couple left for outdoors. It was like hiding Easter eggs. I wish I'd just bought two packages. I'll probably buy more in the future.

Lovely ornamentation for gardens & gifts
I am quite pleased with my order. The butterflies are pretty, delicate, but with proper care will not break easily. These will be perfect to add as ornamentation in my flower garden, fairy garden, and on gifts. The butterflies appear to be water resistant as the material seems to be some type of plastic. It looks like they're made of printed paper but when you touch it, it feels like there is a plastic coating if not actually made of plastic all the way through. The main body of the butterflies are made of plastic and attached at the end of wire sticks, snapped on to a little spring coil which gives it movement. The little coil looks just like the kind you find in pens.

Beautiful and Durable!
Just the right touch of Spring into Summer. I put this together as a gift for my Daughter's home. The Grandchildren helped me put Styrofoam into the bottom of a nice planter, then we put potting soil over the foam with seeds. The butterflies look realistic and sway slightly in the breeze. The perfect touch of color to the front after a long cold winter. When the flowers bloom it will be amazing. It's been a few weeks now and they have held up well to the occasional truly windy day.

Not for a fairy garden
The title is misleading. My fault for not reading other reviews and the description, but I was on a super time crunch and trying to get them here before mothers day to build a Fairy Garden. Well these are about life sized butterflies and I thought they would be fairy sized so the title is very misleading. They are beautiful and would look pretty in regular flower pots as decoration but NOT in a fairy garden. Unless the fairies are being taken over by giant butterflies....

plastic dragonflies on stakes
I saw the picture... was hoping they would look a little better in person, but they are truly junky plastic dragonflies. It will work for my purpose. But if you're looking for something realistic, a little bit... these are NOT what you want. If you need something that might survive outside for a season, and you don't mind a bit of a junky look, you're in luck with these.

thought they might be bigger
I like them for my garden and they worked out to be pretty good addition. the only problem was the packing. they were not in a very good envelope for shipping. it was shipped an a plastic bag and did not have a hard support for them. I had about 3 of them bent out of shape and had to bend them back to where they were passing. they were great overall for my garden.
