Gracias

FAKE description, this is NOT stainless steel
Fake description and headline, and a complete misrepresentation. This is not stainless steel, you can easily tell by how light the pot is. Another way to tell is by sticking a magnet to it (which will work for a steel but will not for aluminum). Yes you guessed it, it didn't stick and it is aluminum.

Junk, by even the lowest standards.
I don't understand how this got a single review above 1 star. The metal is so thin that it actually flexes if you touch it with a popsicle stick - it's that weak. If I had a toothpick, I'd try the same test. I don't know how this can even be sold as a pot meant for cooking in. It's not that much thicker feeling than the metal on an aluminum pop can. I'm shocked. It looks so much more substantial in the photo than it actually is.

You get what you pay for.
This is a very cheap pot. The metal is slightly thicker than a disposable aluminum foil food tray. You can easy bend it with your fingers. The lid came warped and doesn't won't sit flat. The instructions are in the back of a sticker that is impossible to remove without shredding. If you intend to use this more than once or twice then shell out the extra $20 to get a real stock pot.

I am using this for water canning
I began canning for the first time this year and didn't want to invest in a lot of expensive equipment in case I never canned again. This large stock pot was perfect for the job. I used it on top of a ceramic top electric stove. I put a round cooling/roasting rack on the bottom of the pot to rest the pint jars on.The material it is made of is not thick and heavy. This makes it easier to lift when full of water but may effect its durability. It is large, so must be used on the larger burners. It has not scratched my stove-top. Also, make sure that your sink is big enough so that you can fill it and clean it.I have also used it for making stock and intend to use it for dying material.
