Works but not for a beginner.
Crude, cheap, and works. Arrived with all parts, zero defects and adjusted. You will have to remove dirty oil. It is best if the owner understands how sewing machines work and how to adjust them because this is not a machine for a beginner. The instruction book is nearly worthless. There does not seem to be a source of replacement parts other than bobbins and bobbin cases. If you are not an expert, photograph the machine's parts to capture its adjustments and threading. For example, the needle thread goes down a slot in the needle bar and the walking foot adjustment screw is rather coarse; if you change it, resetting it to work could be a challenge without having recorded its original position. I suggest reading The Sewing Machine Master Guide: From Basic to Expert by Clifford L Blodget if you are not expert at adjusting sewing machines. The purpose of a patch machine is to sew patches in a way that other machines cannot. It has a walking foot and no dogs and the foot rotates around the needle so one can sew in any direction without moving the work. Say you want to patch a hole in a tube such as a sleeve or boot leg, You push the leather or fabric over the cylinder arm, sew across one side of the patch, rotate the sewing machine's foot, sew the next side and so on. The point is that the walking foot rotates around the needle bar. This is something that a cylinder arm or free arm machine cannot do. Although some people use these machines to sew leather holsters and sheaths it would not be my first choice for that work because the bobbin is too small to use with heavy thread (have to reload too often). If you want to patch a hole in a tight place, it works. The serrations on the foot are sharp and grab well but will damage some leathers and fabrics.

Its worth $1.50 in scrap metal
Its a pile. They did the test stitching with fishing line, it was still in the bobbin. Reason being it won't stitch with thread. Its shreds any thread you load it with. Every part that contacts thread needs to be sanded, polished and finished. I didn't know I was buying a build your own sewing machine kit. Im sure they found the molds and machine tools for this in an ancient archeological dig site. I've seen rusted, buried viking relics with better fit and finish. I wondered why the needle was S shaped then I realized it had to be to line up with everything else. Custom. Well done china, well done.

Nice buy
Only thing i can say bad bout is that you have to build your own stand. Other than that value for money is great for a beginner buy.

Works better than expected
This machine will need some fine tuning, some sharp edges knocked down, components need polishing and you will need to build a stand. If you have time to tinker to get this set up then it's a diamond in the rough, if you want something that works perfect right out of the box, then you will be disappointed. The stand is a joke, I threw mine away and built a tabletop stand out of some scrap wood. Watch some youtube videos and join the Facebook group for info. Once it's set up right it has been wonderful

Nothing more than a paper weight.
Not as pictured, when threading holes not where they supposed to be . Not easy to set up. Quality is by far very sad representation. And functionality was limited to bad production. Not worth the time or money if your into leather work or crafts. I'd add a few pics but I'm embarrassed to show you. And what's worse is that it was rusty and looked used. And had the arms looked not even completed.

Need Some Real Instructions For Setup &Use!
Very difficult to get dialed in to put in use. After months I have yet to make a single holster or sheath (the reason I bought it to begin with) mostly because it is difficult to get set up. There needs to be better user instructions/a manual written by someone who speaks English as a first language!

Finally got a good one
I ordered this same machine from 2 other sellers and had to send both back because they were either b-stock or someone else’s return. It seems that all of these come with a partially sewn piece of leather stuck under the foot and thread already threaded through the machine. The other ones both showed up partially painted with a bunch of pitted steel but this one is full painted, solid and with more accessories than the other ones. If you’re a tinkerer, getting this thing going isn’t too hard, I had it stitching stuff in like 5 min. The biggest benefit of this machine for me is that it can stitch through foam sheets whereas my regular sewing machine cannot.

Total garbage
Not worth a tinker’s damn! First, it came with the machine and cheap stand only. It supposed to have spare bobbins, a thread fishing wire and a couple of other things. Second, it was about as smooth as a corn cob. Third, the bobbin winder was stripped so it didn’t work. Fourth, timing was way out. Fifth, it kept cutting the top thread. I was never able to complete a single stitch because it would cut the top thread before a complete stitch cycle. I watched hours and hours of YouTube videos and spent literally 10 hours on Sunday trying to get the thing to work and couldn’t. I’ve returned it for a refund and will be looking into other machines. Others may have been fortunate to get one that worked, but I wasn’t. My advice……. Don’t bother with it. Spend more money on a better quality machine. This thing is total garbage.
