From Lukov with Love

I enjoyed every minute of it
Oh wow this book made me learn new things about myself.I am one patient reader when I want to be.Jasmine is doubting her dreams of making it in the figure skating world; when she gets an offer from Ivan Lukov. Her sworn enemy. It’s a hit and miss with slow burns for me; sometimes I find them way too slow or repetitive. But this one surprised me. This story is beautifully written, so modern and engaging and the attention to detail is just amazing. The pace of the development of plot and character also feels right. The story is from Jasmine POV but I saw the development in Ivan’s character. The epilogue is also perfect. There are hilarious moments and sad moments. Love the banter between Jasmine and Ivan.

The plot is great
However, it is very very slow but the characters development is good… I caught myself trying to read skip some parts :( kinda disappointed this book was very hyped

Such a good book
Mariana Zapata just never fails to write a good book. The book was so heavy (meaning it had many pages) BUT I LOVED IT. I recommend buying more mariana zapata books if the seller does sell any more.

My favourite book of all time!
I literally just finished this book and my emotions are all over the place so I do apologise but... THIS BOOK!!!I would like to start by saying I do not give romance books 5 stars. It just doesn't happen. I think it's because I love fantasy so much and those books usually get the full 5-star rating. But, now along with Red, White and Royal Blue, I have found a romance that is 5-star worthy. I'm not sure whether it was the sports involved or because it was so incredibly slow burn that it pained me, but it made it all the way to the top.I love Jasmine as a character and found that I really related to her and her feelings. Seeing her family dynamic and drama was so fun and I really loved that she was our protagonist. Ivan, on the other hand, was just something else. I can't remember how I felt about him in the beginning but he's always been so cheeky and funny, I just love him a lot. I love how he was the one to encourage Jasmine to be friendlier with him and even open up parts of his life to her. He was an incredible love interest and everything about his and Jas's relationship was utterly perfect. Not only was this slow burn, and I mean the slowest of all slow burn, but it was also hate to love. Jasmine HATED Ivan at the start of the book, and it seemed like Ivan hated her also. The banter between them and the pure dislike was so funny to read. And of course, the development that happened throughout the book. It was so nice to see them go from partners, to friends, to best friends and possibly more (NO SPOILERS!!!)That epilogue had me in tears, it was everything I wanted and more. I know some people don't like the classic everything was perfect and this happened and this and that... But I am not one of those people. Just everything we learned over the time that passed between the last chapter and the epilogue was amazing.Something else that I really loved about the book as a whole is the topics it covered. This wasn't just a figure skating romance. It discussed family, not having a lot of money, feeling like you're a disappointment because of the lack of achievements, being insecure, having a learning disability and many more. I just loved this book with my whole heart and soul and I suggest everyone reads it.

Overhyped much?
20 pages in I had a feeling this book wasn't for me. 60 pages in and I hate Jasmine. She's sworn about 50 times already and her internal monologue is painstakingly boring and unnecessarily long. If she's thinking about the answer to a question, I've pretty much forgotten what the question is after a 500 word discussion going on in her head so I have to go back and look at what the question was. The final straw was the quote: " He's out with friends" the redheaded woman who had given birth to me explained quickly' Erm, who the frick talks about their mum like that?! No way am I going to get through 500 odd pages of this. This book reminds me of when you start using pointless sentences to help reach a 5000 word limit on an essay.

Mariana Zapata is the queen of slow-burn romance!!!
If you’ve never read Mariana Zapata and are a fan of romance books this is your sign!!!!From Lukov with Love is a contemporary/sports romance with enemies to lovers, slow burn and a protective male mc who will hurt anyone who tries to hurt her!Jasmine Santos is a figure skater losing hope that she’ll ever compete, Ivan Lukov is practically the king of figure skating and Jasmine's sworn enemy since childhood. The two must put aside their differences as they work together to compete in pairs.I loved the relationship growth between Jasmine and Ivan, even their constant bickering was endearing and hilarious! These two were 100% made for each other and I can only hope I find something close to what they have one day!

my favourite book ever
the first MZ book I have read and it did not disappoint. This book means the world to me. I’ll never get over this. Highly recommend as a starting point - i was super scared of the slow burn but it's done just right and you get so invested. I felt so connected to the characters it was unbelievable.
