Basic science necessity

This book is great. I purchased this for a 9 year old rock lover but it even has Sea shells. The pictures ae great and on good quality paper. Great book for a collector
I bought this for my friend’s son for his 7th birthday. He’s really into gems, crystals, rocks, etc. so I figured he’d need this. I flipped through the pages and it’s FULL of information and colorful pictures!! I’m a bit of a crystal collector myself and this would work for me I think as well!

Interesting information with great pictures.
I bought this for my 9 year old grandson. The reading level is above his ability, but he loved the information and pictures as shared with him by an adult.

It's OK. I'll keep it just not my favorite
All the books by this author use BCE/CE which is confusing for a child who has already learned the original wording. Doesn't keep my child's interest as much as I thought it might. The cover is a lot more appealing then the text. But I also like gemstones in general so maybe I'm biased. It's not terribly captivating even as an adult but I will still keep it for science reference.

Purchased for a Student. She loved it so much so I bought the book 3 more times for other students. Great option for kids.

My grandson has a couple of books from this series and he loves them. He specifically requested this one as a gift and he wasn't disappointed, the photos are an excellent quality and there is lots of information. He spends hours reading and studying these books.
