BEST PURCHASE EVER
I’ve been desperate to swim. I live 20 minutes away from the nearest pool and it’s so hard to reserve a lane there. It sucks. I found this randomly through an ad pop up and decided to purchase and see if I could use it in my aunts tiny above ground pool. O. M. G. Life changer!!! I am able to get my full swim in which is about a mile swim every other day. The bungees do pull and make the swim a little harder, but I like that. This pool is shallow too. The water only comes to my knees and I’m 5’ 4”. I can do free stroke easily. Breast stroke is harder, especially on the leg kicks, but once you get use to it it’s good and a added push to your swim. Butter fly I can do easily with these. Only problem is back stroke and that’s more because I’m swimming in my aunts 3 foot pool meant for my little cousin. I’m sure it wouldn’t be a problem in a deeper pool. I bought two of these. One for me and my cousin to use and another for when I travel. I highly recommend you get this!

Hated it on my ankles, so used it on my wrists, then as a belt
I was considering getting an expensive swim jet for my pool, since it is too small to do any kind of lap swimming. Then I tried this. Wow! I was surprised at the exercise I got using this. Really got the heartbeat going. However, I got scared using it on my ankles. I swim alone and the thought of getting my legs tangled was terrifying. I tried it on my wrists instead and that worked well, but the tether wasn't really long enough. Then I came up with idea of velcro-ing the two ankle bands together and putting them on/around my chest. Voila! Worked great. Best exercise I have had in ages. Tether is perfect length (I attach it to the handrail in my pool). And better than a swim jet, I can adjust my stroke and speed without having to match and adjust the jet. Thanks to this product, I just saved myself several thousand dollars by avoiding buying the swim jet.

Goodbye Swim Goggles!
I have been thinking about purchasing a machine to put in my pool so I could swim more than seven strokes before turning. This eliminates the need for the $7500 purchase! Today was my first day using the bungee system. I bought two: this one and one for my waist. I really prefer this one, which I can also use on my waist by fastening the two Velcro ankle straps into one loop! This works perfectly well and I like the two bungees instead of the one one the other purchase. I used it on my ankles...which was great, my calves..which made my feet more free, and my waist...which gave me a lot more freedom to swim. This is very versatile! The other thing I am very happy about is that I no longer need goggles to see where I am going! Since I am not going anywhere I can just put my head down and swim! This is wonderful for me because I am completely tired of leaky, foggy goggles! Great product for swimming exercise. I feel like I got a real workout today!

Lap Swimming with a Lap Pool
I enjoy swimming, and this includes swimming for exercise. But not having a pool large enough for decent laps, or wanting to take time to go to a gym and hope you get a lane, my options were limited. As a result my swim time was at a bare minimum. Needing to train for the 1/2 IMs I like to do, I needed an solution and this simple setup has done the trick. All you need is a good base to loop the elastic rope around, and you are off and "swimming". Not having a solid fence or other close to my backyard pool, I use a weighted umbrella stand to loop the rope over. Then, simply velcro the straps on my ankles and I'm good to go. Now, I do not kick as I normally would, but to get a good swim workout, it is a great alternative. The strap might wear out, but it will easily be replaced. With lap swims costing $5-10 per visit, or $40/mth for a gym membership, I can replace this every 6mths and still be way ahead cost wise. Plus being able to swim in the comfort of my own backyard.. Priceless!! Well worth the money. Comfortable and way easy to use. Highly recommended!

Great product - great exercise
Bought this at the beginning of the summer, a little leery whether it would actually work or not. I'm happy to say this product works very well! It allows you to swim naturally in a small pool (we have a rectangular, above ground, 24' long) and you get a great workout. The straps are very comfortable and once you are used to it they do not hinder you. Much better than swimming laps, the fact that you can swim continuously without doing turns or getting to push off a wall I think is a more intensive workout. The bungee seems to be holding up well so far, time will tell how long it will last.

Much easier than the waist version for me.
I have listened to both sides: waist belt v. ankle belts and I have a verdict. Ankle belt is the winner. Home or hotel use is going to be much easier since you do not need such a high tie off point. I realize the "pro" like the waist and that may be true if you have large pole or overhead or are tying to lane lines. Well the issue is a pool that does not have lane lines so that is not really a fair comparison. You can tie this type to to anything and then use a chair under the cord to get it off the pool deck. I did add about 8 feet of line to use as a tie off loop and then hook into that but once in the water, it took very little time to adapt.

KISS Principle properly applied!
This item is genius, great simple solution to a perplexing problem (thanks to #sonic who took a pic and put in review of it looped through the skimmer!) – it has the perfect amount of bungee tension and the ankle straps are comfortable for up to an hour (my workout time). The only improvement recommendation I could make would be to allow for easy length adjustments. I needed it about 6’ shorter due to the shape of my pool. I tried many knot combinations, the bungees are too slippery and the knots came out after mere minutes. Came up with the solution of an overhand knot with a zip tie at either end of the not to keep it from slipping. Seemed to the trick for a month now.

So this item arrived and its only a single ankle strap, but the photos show it as a double. Pretty poor.

Great quality, straps are comfortable around the ankles, elastic seems to be good quality, long enough to attach somewhere outside the pool, good « degree of stretchiness » : im a rather strong tall swimmer and i attach it on the stairs of our 21ft round pool and i swim about 2ft from edge of other side which is perfect for me! Just have to com up with best routine to strap em on without looking silly...!

I purchased two sets, expecting 4 ankle straps and cords. The description of the purchase is two ankle straps (see attached photo) however two sets arrived each with one ankle strap and cord. This is therefore false advertising.
