So, I've been dying to practice a checkered cake and I have. They are very sturdy and I love the variety in size. I'm able to brace the cakes in the biggest one if I want and it will be helpful when I try doing a chocolate collar.

I am new to baking cakes and have struggled with aligning layered cakes right. I tend to have one off and then I have to adjust and try over and over until it is aligned. With this cutter I use it to cut the cakes evenly and after stacking them I use the ring to make sure they are aligned. Now my cakes are aligned and they look good.
