How long to rid cat of ticks?

Package states 7 months. Our cats are indoor cats so i do not know how long. We change yearly

Can I use this on a 6 lb dog?

I used it on my 6 lb miniature poodle. The collar didn’t work though. She got multiple ticks on her. I returned it.

So i cannot touch it and wash my hands everytime i do which will happen cause i'm going to pet my cat and so will my kid. is there other options?

Only when you first activate it out of the box by stretching it because some of the powder may fall off. It is perfectly safe with the cat licking it, an people touching it. I have not have any problems. I live in an apartment the kids love to come to see and play with my cat. Never been a problem.

I'm not selling this product, I bought it here in amazon, I just gave a review about it, I put this flea collar on a stray cat I rescued back in July, and it worked for him, he is an outside cat and came with two or theee ticks on his head and after two days of wearing the flea and tick collar the ticks fell off his head, like I said he lives outside and has no fleas or ticks, and this collar it's a lot cheaper than others, so I FEVE five stars and will buy it again
