I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.So far I really like this product. The collar is a little wider than ones we have bought in the past. It is made of more of a rubber type material. It seems like it would be more comfortable for the dogs. It has interesting rubber bumps and posts to help it stay on without the use of a typical buckle. It works great. It comes in three colors - blue, grey or black. You receive two collars in the packing tin, and they are each individually wrapped. I have not noticed any strange smells and the dogs do not seem bothered by them. I would definitely buy this product again. It is cold here right now, but I am interested to see how well it repels mosquitos because they have been relentless the last few years. They collars are good for up to six months. I'm sure I will buy more at that time.

I purchased the Hartz Ultra Guard PROMAX flea and tick collar at a reduced price through my amazon prime account in exchange for my unbiased review of this product. This is a one size fits all product there are three colors to choose from blue, black and gray I picked the blue . The product is supposed to kill fleas, ticks, mosquitos and flea eggs for six months. Each tin contains two collars so your pet is supposed to be protected for 12 months total with a single purchase. The active ingredients are formulated into each individual collar where it gets slowly released over the skin surface for a period of 6 months. First I have a Chihuahua and the collar is very wide and interfered with her collar so we had to change to a harness for her comfort. Second the collar has been on for 10 days and she is eat up with fleas so we are going back to our previous brand. Third the collar is well made and latches well and is easily adjustable but being so wide it is more suited for a larger dog. If it can't kill fleas on a dog this small I imagine the results would be even worse with a larger dog as it is simply not killing any fleas. Overall I am not impressed with this product or it's claims. #HartzUltraGuardInsiders

I live in an area where fleas don't thrive, but my dog gets ticks pretty regularly each summer. I have used topical flea and tick medication in the past, but the dog always flinched when I applied it so I wanted an easier solution. This flea and tick collar is an easy no-fuss solution that does not upset my dog and claims to work for up to 6 months for each collar. As there are 2 collars in the package, they will get me through 2 flea and tick seasons easily. It also claims to repel mosquitos, which is an added bonus. I have only had the collar on my dog for a few days now, so too soon to tell if it is working, but also no sign of ticks so far. The product itself is easy to use, and comes packaged in a sturdy metal tin. The collars do not have a strong chemical smell, they seem to just smell like rubber. There is no oily residue on the collar, just a dry white powdery residue. I did not feel like I was getting exposed to harsh chemicals when handling the collar. To unroll the collar you do have to snap a few little plastic connectors, and remove any remnants of the connectors inside the collar. To put the collar on your dog you simply slide one end of the collar through the buckle and adjust to fit, similar to a belt. You do have to pull a little to get the collar through the buckle, and my dog was a little suspicious when I was fussing around with it. The collar is "one size fits all", so if you have a smaller dog like mine, you will need to cut off the excess length of collar. My dog was also a little nervous when I brought out the scissors to cut off the excess collar length, but I did it as quickly as possible. Once the collar is on and adjusted, it's just like any other dog collar and the dog seems fine with it. I recommend this product for any dog owner who has had issues in the past with topical flea and tick medications and wants an easier solution.

This collar comes in three colors: blue, black and gray. I chose blue for my dogs. I put one collar on our large dog and one on our medium dog. These collars are soft and flexible with a double buckle yet can be easily removed and placed back on. Compared to other collars I have tried this one has far exceeded my expectations. The fit is easy no matter the size of the dog by using scissors to cut the access. I love that the collars are water resistant and I have bathed both my dogs leaving them on. With the collars being wet, I have not noticed any difference in the effectiveness. I received this product at a discount for my honest review.

My dogs are indoor dogs that only go out in the back yard when it's time to potty.... flea season can be pretty rough in the south, and these did absolutely nothing to help that. While I was initially impressed with their flexibility and softness, the disappointment set in fairly quick, and I was out buying Seresto collars for everyone, which are the only thing that seem to effectively work.

I wanted to try these flea collars for a change instead of the topical flea medicine for my 2 Pekingese’ to save money most of all. I put them on for about 10 days and noticed that they were scratching more than ever-especially so they’re back ends. My male dog has flea allergies so he was really going crazy. Unfortunately I had to discontinue using them and go back to the topical medicine-which works really well for them.

I've never had a flea collar to work on my dogs. However, this one seems to be working very well so far. I'm hoping it will last the full time the packaging says that it will. I have no complaint at all about the collar. The price was great, especially if it does work the full six months. Both of my dogs are itching less than before applying the collar. Great product.

This collar fits well on my pup. I love the one size fits all design. Easy to adjust!I also appreciate that it's water-resistant as my dog runs through the sprinklers a lot while wearing it. It's very easy to wipe off the water and dirt.I had it on her while mowing my lawn, which tends to stir up a lot of bugs and winged insects. She seemed perfectly fine. I didn't notice her scratching, so I think this collar works well for its purpose.
