Protection and piece of mind
This is a no brainer! I installed a battery isolators and had to run a power line to a battery in the trunk. This will protect my electrical system.

terminals heated up and plastic melted
Installed this in a camper van to protect a power inverter. Tightened screws very well, and verified tightness, however after running the inverter for a couple of hours I noticed that the fuse holder terminals had gotten hot and had caused the plastic to melt. this poses a fire risk! It seems to me that the bolt that pushes the stranded wire (1 gage in my case) in is designed too small in order to enable a tight enough fit that would minimize ohms resistance and thus heat. Do not use this product. it is a safety risk! Edit: I found out that the problem with heat is caused by the fuse. A special kind of fuse is needed for installation inside the engine compartment: It is called "Ignition protected". For example this one: https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Sea-Systems-ANL-Fuses/dp/B000K2K6Q6/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_bs_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&refRID=ZMKCCB0524G173D9K6TW&th=1 This special fuse alone is more than USD 20.

Works as expected.
This fuse holder + fuse worked well. I used this when upgrading the battery wiring in my F250. So far it's worked well.

Missing parts
I bought 2 of these but right when I was about to install I realized one side was missing the screw that holds the wire in place, as you can see in the photos the one on the right had clear rubber boots to put pressure on the screw but the one on the left has none which is why there is no screw in the back I don't know if they forgot to put it in or what. Besides that the build quality is pretty good transferring wise but the I wouldve liked the plastic to be of higher grade so it won't melt overtime.

Almost caused a fire
Wow….the plastic melted and oozed onto the fuse itself prevent the fuse from popping. Good thing I was sitting right there and the smell of burning plastic alerted me.
