Was looking for garden hose guards but came across these garden U stakes and decided to give them a try- despite some of the negative reviews I read. They seemed more practical for holding a garden hose in place compared to traditional hose guards. . They were simple to tap into place and are sturdy, I didn’t have any issues with them bending. I used these to secure the garden hose from the spicket to the garden hose hanger - which is about 10 ft of hose behind bushes. I placed a cobblestone over the last one (closest to the hose hanger) for additional support.I tested the functionality by watering all of my gardens (100 ft hose) and the hose leading from the spicket to the hanger did not budge at all.Perfect thickness, length (12 in), and weight.I 100% recommend these.

There is not a lot to say about an oversized hairpin of steel. But what can be said is good. These came well packaged. And most importantly, the steel is strong enough that they can be inserted into heavy soil without bending. This has not been the case for other landscape pins that I have used. Given the quality, these are quite reasonably priced.

Very sturdy much better than the previous one I purchased from a different brand. But it came in a little late.

I needed extra-long and strong garden stakes to pin a heavy garden hose to some pretty hard, dry Texas dirt. These are strong, and the rounded end is perfect for a thick hose. At 12-inches, these were longer than needed, and thus hard to push in all the way. Because of their rounded ends, I knew that pounding on them with a mallet would deform them, so I lopped off two inches from each prong with a metal cutter, making the cut at a slant, just like these come, to go in easier. Perfect. These are strong, but be realistic; if you plan to pound them all the way down in really hard soil, or rocky soil, with a hammer or mallet, you're going to deform them. In that case, you'd be better off getting squared off ends and tapping each side alternately, very carefully. Or perhaps soak the soil first and let it seep down. Wear gloves to push. If they are too long, using a husky metal cutter to shorten. For soft garden soil, the extra length is perfect for holding things down.

These work perfectly and are sturdy but not too thick. Good quality!

These are just the right length and loop size to hold down drip irrigation pipe and lines. They are sturdy and easy to get in the ground. Just bought them so we will see how long they last out in garden though the seasons.

These aren’t strong enough

I ordered two sets of these to keep my soaker hose in place this summer. They went into the dry ground easily and kept the hose in place where I wanted it. Just took them in today after several months of use.

These spikes are strong and go deep into the soil. Perfect for placing soaker hoses or anchoring landscape fabric.

This is the second set of lids I have bought with poor spouts. The first ones all cracked they were hard plastic but these are great they are silicone and I'll bet I have them for years.

Got this to help position our soaker hose in the garden .. work exactly how we hoped. Came very quickly and exactly as described.

I like them a lot. They are handy for me to tie down stems on younger cannabis plants.
