I am updating this review. If i could give zero stars on this product I would. It’s typical rubbish from China that hasn’t been designed correctly. The internal electronics failed after only a few months. They’ve underrated a component that fails after a while with the current load that the Dyson V8 requires under normal operation. I’m an electronics engineer and thought i’d take the battery apart only to find the main IC has had its identification scrubbed off and all the other ICs are made in china and no data sheets are available.DON’T TOUCH THIS WITH A BARGE POLE!!!!!!A further update, after investigating the electronics, i’ve come to the conclusion that the unit stops powering the dyson after 5 seconds due to one of the Li cells failing as it only has 3.4 volts on it, the others all have 4.1 volts. So the power management shuts the power off as it detects there is a problem. Seeing as this unit was barely 4 months old you wouldn’t expect that to happen. A complete waste of money.

Purchased this battery due to the original one only lasting 10 mins. This battery is twice the power of the original one and is capable of cleaning the whole house on one charge. I wished I’d changed to earlier. Easy to change the battery just 3 screws

Battery life short

The fit was perfect but with low use the battery only lasted 5 months. It runs for a few seconds and won't take charge.I see today that others have found this issue.DO NOT BUY THIS ONE
