A Yummy Treat For Birdies in the Winter
Here in Alaska the winter time birds don't really get 'fresh produce'. It's nice to be able to treat them to some worms in the middle of winter. I still think they prefer seed over these, but they nibble on them for variety. These are canned perfectly and come with a good texture. Most larvae come as a mooshy mush. These are actually still holding their original shape and actually look like larvae. The birds seem to enjoy them, although I don't think it's drawn in any rarer birds. It's simply an extra something to put out with the seed to give the birds variety. My birds enjoy it, and I'm sure other birds in midwinter would find it a nice relief too.
