This is the one...don't waste your money on others!
This mount isn't just excellent for the price...it's excellent regardless of price! This mount is easily as good or better than the Argus and as good as the Wilcox. Out of the box, there was a tiny amount of play across the mount itself...we're talking less than 1/32" of play. I removed each screw, applied blue loctite, and torqued them down a little tighter than they were originally, but not enough to strip anything. I let the loctite sit overnight and now there is ZERO play anywhere. However, when mounted in the shroud that came on my helmet, there was maybe 1/16" of play, but this was not the mount's fault...it was the shroud. The mount has a small round piece of rubber on the back, to help stabilize it, but my first shroud had just an open rectangle and sat to far away from the surface of the helmet for the rubber piece to rest against anything. Wilcox mounts and several others have a little plate that protrudes from the top edge of the mount opening or a flat piece that goes between the sides of the mount opening, which provides a place for the rubber pad on the back of the mount to push against. I picked up a new shroud with this feature and now the mount is 100% rock solid with ZERO play or movement across the mount or from the mount locked into the shroud. The only difference I can tell between a name brand Wilcox and this mount is that the button that releases the dovetail doesn't move as easily as the one on the Wilcox. There is a slight roughness when pushing the button in, but it is very slight and I suspect it will smooth out with use.I also appreciate that it doesn't have Wilcox etching and branding on it. It's just flat black with no markings. It's a Chinese mount, not a Wilcox and I'm not trying to pass it off as a name brand mount. It will stand on it's own next to the real deal on it's own merits. I would rather buy two or three of these mounts and have a backup or two rather than the ridiculous name brand price. I would stand this mount up next to a Wilcox any day of the week (and twice on Sundays). I'm totally satisfied and blown away by the quality! If you have reservations, just try it since Amazon makes returns easy. The money you save can easily allow you to get hand-picked or higher gain tubes in your NODS.

Not full spec but does the job.
It holds up pretty good, it's obviously not the military standard but I can't justify the price of name brand and this does just as good. If I ever take it to the woods for something I'll tell yall how she holds up.

Solid cheap back up for NVG
Order this product until I got my actual Wilcox mount in and this product surprised me! Solid product and will keep as a back up mount. No play in the mount and fit my HHV helmet shroud perfectly! 10/10

It’s actually decent
Yes, this is a Chinese knock off however, it’s not a cheap Chinese knock off. I have bought three other versions of this from other vendors for about the same amount of money and they were all very cheaply made Chinese knock offs did not lock up and we’re very loose. This is not as good as the actual US made one however is the US made 5 times better or even twice as good? The Real one is $500 and marginally better, however for The price this is actually a good product. I really like that there is no fake logo on this it’s not trying to be something it’s not. And the only version that I would recommend as I’ve stated all the others were terrible.

“Works” is loose term
Will this product fit your needs, more than a likely it will. However it is no Wilcox mount by any means other than looks. It is sloppy an unrefined. The biggest issue is the adjustment knob. It is very loose and even when tightening it firmly it will re loosen the next time you adjust it. This part broke off completely on mine and rendered the entire thing useless. Would I buy it again? No. But would I buy one if I didn’t have an actual Wilcox or after buying expensive nods and waiting for funds to build back up for a Wilcox? Then yes I would. All in all it’s useable but I wouldn’t trust it.

Really good quality !
Was skeptical at first but from looking around and realizing that the name brand version of this is 5X the price decided to give this a shot and man am I glad I did, looks identical, which is a plus. Then the build quality is solid, everything works as it should, no slop or wiggle in the mount. Very happy with this purchase!

The mount holds night fox prowl just fine
The mount has minimal play inside helmet hardware. The mount will wiggle when in the stowed position(nods up). The mount will wiggle what I consider about 16th of an inch when deployed( nods down). This deployed position works amazing. The vertical position when deployed(adjusting nods distance from forehead to mouth) works excellent. The distance adjustment for eye to nods focus adjustment ring works good. And the angle adjustment (fixing upward/downward canted nods) works great. The lock up in the v notch holds tight. Over all great product. Had it for about a week and had 3 nights of use. Once I own it for about six months, more content will be added.

Absolutely solid mount.
The media could not be loaded. Fit perfectly onto my HHV helmet. Unbelievably solid no play whatsoever. Took it apart and blue lock tight every on it just for safe measure. I highly recommend this. It is rock solid. Why spend the $500 plus on one of these. Saved enough to buy a bridge. I 100% trust my $8k nods on it.
