King Kong v Godzilla
Again this arrived early and with a bunch of other orders, we haven’t had chance to watch it yet and I’ll update the review later. Happy that my orders came earlier than expected and as described on the Amazon site!

Clash of the Titans
Fourth film in the current series of Godzilla movies. Following on from 'Godzilla'. 'Kong: skull island.' 'Godzilla: King of the Monster.' Having seen those three will help you get the most out of this, so I would recommend watching them first. It picks up from where King of the Monsters left off. Although not a spoiler to say that it doesn't follow up on or even mention the end credit scene from that. And it has the organisation Monarch trying to find a new home for Kong. Whilst Godzilla seems to have a real problem with humanity.A shadowy corporation is making plans but being investigated. Monsters meet and fight. But why?Short review:Big Monkey fights Big Dinosaur! Awesome!Longer review:After the disappointment of King of the Monsters, which never really clicked. This is much better. For one thing, it does have a lot of scenes in daylight. You can see easily what is going on. It does tie all the series plotlines together pretty well. And it is well paced. It takes about a quarter of the film before the first big set piece, but the set up you get through waiting for this is alright and does fly by.A lot of this is due to the performance of Rebecca Hall in the role of lead human character. The human characters in this series do remain a bit shallow and not as good as the monsters. But she has good screen presence and charisma, and really carries the film well when it's humans and not monsters on screen. That set piece is well worth it. And clearly designed to be seen on the biggest screen possible. So if there is such an option, you might want to take it.And the film then carries on nicely enough leading to a final quarter that offers absolutely everything you could want to see from a movie of this kind. The effects for the monsters are excellent, there being some shots of Godzilla that really caught my eye as they show him as a monster, but with the hints of some intelligence there. There's absolutely nothing extra during or after the end credits, so it's unclear as to whether more will follow. But this is an entertaining watch. It does what it sets out to do, and it delivers well. The languages and subtitles on the dvd are:Languages: English, French, German, Italian.Subtitles: English, Dutch, French, German, Italian. The disc goes into the menu when loaded, with no trailers or ads.The only extra is: Godzilla attacks! A five minute long feature, one of those where everyone talks about how awesome working on the film was. It's a bit forgettable as a viewing experience.

Who does not enjoy a good kaiju movie?
Kaiju - a giant monster of a type featured in Japanese fantasy and science fiction films and television programmes.Big monsters fighting it out against one another, this is the fourth in the monster-verse after:GodzillaKong Skull IslandGodzilla: King of MonstersGodzilla vs. KongSoon to be followed by Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. It picks up after Godzilla: King of Monsters, and Kong Skull Island, and we get the big showdown between Godzilla and King Kong. I can't say much more than that for fear of spoilers. But if you are looking for big monsters fighting it out and crushing sky scrappers, then you will not be disappointed.

Godzilla vs Kong - Blu-ray
After a couple of years in the planning, finally comes the promised face off between Godzilla and Kong.Certainly, the film packs a ton of visual eye candy into it’s relatively brief but relentless 113 minutes, from battles in the ocean, through uncharted wonders deep within the Earth, to a huge battle that turns another city to dust. The human characters (including a couple from the last film) get short thrift but who’s kidding anyone we’re here for the characters? It’s the Titans and their world we’re here for and it’s hard to deny the film’s devotion to lavish visuals and CGI spectacle. And yet, through four films we’ve seen so much city sized devastation there is a slight feeling of ‘been here before’ throughout the action. It also lacks the sense of humour and pure adventure ‘Skull Island’ (my personal favourite of the four so far) had, and which it perhaps could have used a bit of. Still, if you’ve stayed with the franchise to this point, there’s nothing really to be left too disappointed by, as you know what you’re getting into at this point anyway. But ‘GvsK’ also has a few nods to the prior three films in trying to pay off expectations.Extras are pretty standard - an OK commentary by director Adam Wingard and then a batch of featurettes about the production side.
