Does what it says
I purchased this to replace a much more expensive kettle that was failing and wanted to find something with no plastic so this fits the bill.I like the look of the kettle and have found it relatively easy to use. That said I haven't tried to program temperatures in or if more than one can be added. The kettle always shows the last temperature used, but I simply change it when I want to change the temperature. For the price, I think it is a good purhase nd so far am happy. The cons as far as I can tell areThat it doesn't hold the temperature after using and have found that the temperature goes down relatively quickly. There is some steam that escapes around the rim so is not a fully tight seal, but it's not dreadful as long as you don't hold your hand over it while boiling.ll in all, reasonable kettle for those wishing to try and completely avoid plastic

Great features but slight lid leaking
Really love this kettle. It looks great. The temperature control is fantastic. Making baby bottles or coffee and tea quickly by switching to the correct temperature is so useful.I wouldn't call it quiet personally, it's no quieter than any other kettle. That's no real issue for me and I wouldn't point it out if it wasn't for it being marketed as quiet. The one thing that seems a bit off is the lid seal. Steam/vapour escapes from the side and runs down the side of the kettle. Not great for keeping the heat or keeping the kettle cool to touch as often the lid is wet with hot water. Also not sure if it impacts the accuracy of the temperature control if it's not as sealed.

Absolutely brilliant kettle for cost of living crisis!
This kettle is slightly heavier due to the components. BUT because you can tap in the temperature you save so much on energy and your electric bill! When I am doing hot water bottles I tap in 60 degrees which is enough. Also for coffee I tap in 80 degrees and tea 90 degrees. My kettle has never boiled up to 100 degrees and therefore saves money. Also if you are doing other chores you know the kettle will switch off at your chosen temperature without over boiling, wasting energy and causing a lot of damp and steam!!! A great appliance. 👍🏻

Had this expensive kettle for 5 months. The button to open started to stick then the lid broke off
This kettle is a rip off. I live alone so it didn't get a lot of use. Amazon don't seem to have a 12 month warranty on small electrical goods like Argos does. It is German made and there was no guarantee. The name of the brand - Arendo has also worn off. According to Amazons written instructions on web site I have to take it up with the manufacturers. It seems to boil at 80 degree. I always thought that German made stuff was good. Will go to Argos when I have saved up for a new kettle. The planned obsolescence time of this item is ridiculous. UPDATE: Got a full refund and apology from the seller.

Great kettle
Wanted a kettle to do 90 degrees for coffee. It is also not plastic inside which is a bonus health wise. It is also quite and well made.

Not a quiet kettle
I'm really surprised that this is marketed as a quiet kettle. It's absolutely not quiet at all. It is the exact same volume as my previous kettle. I put them both on at the same time and couldn't discern any difference in volume.I know you can turn off the beeping, but when it's on it's insanely loud. And it beeps every time you touch it so making a cup of tea is like a truck reversing. If it's a quiet kettle why not program it to have quiet beeps. It's either off or deafening - nothing in between. It also is not fast at all. In the comparison to my previous Sainsbury's own brand kettle (which didn't break btw, I just wanted a quieter kettle) it took the same amount of time and made the same amount of noise. It's extremely annoying that it isn't mentioned anywhere on the listing that this kettle didn't have a limescale filter in the spout. It's clearly supposed to have one - the instructions tell you how to remove it for cleaning, and the grooves are apparent on the inside for where it should sit. I emailed the manufacturer and offered to purchase one only to get an obviously copy/paste response that there is a mistake in the instructions (which is also obviously a lie given the housing for a filter in the machine) with no acknowledgement that this was irrelevant for my request to purchase one.The keep warm function just reboils the kettle over and over for 30 minutes. I can't figure out a way to turn it off after I've pressed it apart from taking the whole kettle off its stand and leaving it off. I don't think I've ever had an urge to heat water to a temperature below boiling. This function might be useful if you like lukewarm tea or you need it for a baby bottle or something. But for the average tea drinker, I don't think the extra temperature control functionality is needed. Although it is a snazzy feature that makes you feel like you're in the future. The kettle looks good and I like the brushed exterior. It's suits my kitchen decor. It works as a kettle in terms of boiling water, but I could have got one for a quarter of the price to do the same job without the notions of this being a high tech piece of equipment. All in all I will probably keep it because it does boil water and I don't know if I can be arsed trying to find another one. I think I would feel differently if it had the filter - I feel cheated without it.

Decent mid price kettle
The kettle is easy to use and is simple. It's a bit slow but not too bad. The base unit is very flimsy, I hope it holds up. The lid is beginning to be a bit loose, as if it's warping or something
