worst. product. ever.
i bought this back in november. it was DOA right out of the box. emailed with their customer service, got a new band shipped out to me. the customer service people were very nice but it seemed like it took a full 24 hours to get a reply each email.started using it the first week of November 2013. Worked great. Held a charge well, easy to use, accurate step count, works with the my fitnesspal app. i love that i can set it to buzz me if i haven't moved in a set amount of time. it was all just really great.and then the weekend of 3/15 it stopped working. it wouldn't sync. the button was non-responsive. the led would light up and it would cycle through the colors- but nothing. so i opened another ticket with support. explained everything that happened. they replied back 24 hours later and had edited the subject to read BATTERY. and then went on to offer me a replacement band.so i'm waiting for the replacement to arrive and hopefully this one will last more than a couple months. the next time this thing dies, i'm getting a FitBit... the UP is just too unreliable.UPDATE 04/03/2014=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-Well, I have had my 3rd UP die on me 8 days after receiving it. I currently have a ticket open with JAWBONE but I'm not sure what they can do except send me another one which, at this point, I really do not want.I refuse to believe JAWBONE does not know the batteries in these products are defective. I think someone should strongly push for a class action lawsuit. JAWBONE is selling a product they know to be defective. They are perpetrating a fraud on the American public.After having had 3 of these things die on me in less than 6 months, the back and forth with support which takes forever to get a resolution- I'm done. I'm guessing JAWBONE is pushing these bands from one customer to another until your 1 year of warranty runs out and they don't have to be bothered by you anymore.I will never again purchase for myself or my company any JAWBONE products whatsoever.

Didn't work for long.
This was great while it worked... It stopped working after a month. Couldn't get warranty on it. Don't know why. Did all the trouble shooting. Way too expensive to only have it work for a month.

When it wants to work it's great! But over the course of a year and a few month I was over it. I was getting a replacement band almost every 3 months. I was on my 5th band (4th replacement) by the time they wouldn't replace the band anymore because I was over my 1 year warranty from original purchase. I enjoyed what the app could do. It was simple, but presented things in a manner I liked. I most likely would not buy a fitness band from Jawbone again because of this. Customer service was as helpful as they could be and did send the replacements in a timely manner, but not having a fully functional band was obnoxious. The button did scratch as the corners are not smooth and on one of my bands the button stopped working.Overall I wouldn't recommend this band unless you don't mind dealing with customer service and having them send you replacement bands.

Works great, does what its supposed to do
Works great, does what its supposed to do. The design of my phone necessitates an adapter, though the adapter doesn't work completely right, but it is possible to get the data into my phone. The app itself is good, not feature laden, but it does what it supposed to, it records my activity as reported by this. Be nice if future devices made the connector longer, since my problem is likely shared by others with covers or ruggidized phones, the problem amounts to the body of the device hitting the top of my phone before the connector fully seats.In fact the only negative falls on Amazon and the seller, i didn't watch when i chose this colour, and wound up paying way too much, more than twice what my were paid for his, and more than i would've paid at work. Watch your price carefully.

If you are debating, chose this!
I had looked over reviews about different fitness bands and I am SO glad I went with this one! The look is amazing so I don't get weird questions about wearing it all the time. It is fashionable and does just what the review says. I am so happy with the sleep and fitness logging! I LOVE that the battery LASTS TEN DAYS. I highly recommend this product! Very satisfied so far.

Not ready for "Prime Time"
This product has a very "clunky" interface. There is a push button on one end of the loop that is supposed to control the various modes of the device and the only feedback is a single sun shaped light that blinks through the cover near the button. Unfortunately, no matter what I tried, the sun seemed to blink the same pattern for every mode that I tried to put the device into. It blinked the same way while charging so you couldn't tell when it was fully charged. It blinked the same way when I tried to put it into sleep mode. Very difficult to tell exactly what mode it was in.The other end of the loop had a "cap" that you pull off to expose a plug that you can either connect to the phone jack on your phone to upload data or to plug into the adapter to charge the device. This is very inconvenient for daily transfer of data; you have to pull it off your wrist, unplug the cap, plug the loop into your phone, and then replace the cap. The competition uses Bluetooth to wirelessly transfer the data on a single button press to open the app on the phone -- much more convenient.No app for this device showed up in the Google Play market for my Android phone. There is no web app for it either. So the device was useless to me.The competition has both a web app and an Android app; both are very good and I now use them daily with the replacement that I purchased after returning this Jawbone device.Jawbone missed the mark on this product, which surprises me since their other products are very good. I guess I'll think twice when looking at anything new from Jawbone from now on.

Wrist size problem.
The large size Jawbone didn't fit around my wrist very easy - I had to be very careful trying it on - so I decided this wasn't going to be useful for me. I returned the product with NO PROBLEMS what so ever.
