CUDDLE CLOSE, LITTLE KOALA is a sweet story of the special connection between mother and child. Little Koala is lost and sets out in search of Mommy Koala. Along the way, she encounters other baby animals with their mothers, who try to help comfort her. She thanks them, but none of it is as great as that from her own mother. Finally, Little Koala finds Mommy Koala and can settle down to sleep.What I loved: This is a beautifully illustrated story about the special connection between mother and child. Great for bedtime, this book talks about the special things mothers do to help soothe their babies and help them settle down to sleep, such as lullabies, hugs, and stories. The other animals and Little Koala are really cute and fun to view alongside the sunset colors of bedtime. This book is a little dense for young toddlers but would be great for older toddlers and preschoolers.What left me wanting more: As a small thing, the font is sometimes black against a dark background which makes it difficult to read in low-lighting settings like at bedtime (where this book really shines).Final verdict: A sweet bedtime book about the special connection between mother and child, CUDDLE CLOSE, LITTLE KOALA is a beautifully illustrated story about love.Please note that I received a review copy.
