Mono Graph Shaker Mechanical Pencil 0.5mm, Blue Body (SH-MG41)

This is the only shaker pencil in my life. When Dr. Grip stopped making shaker mechanical pencils, I went through a dark period in my life, but I started down the path to recovery when I realized I could just search for shaker pencils on amazon and fill the gaping, shaker-pencil-shaped hole at my core. At first I was nervous and unwilling to be vulnerable when I'd been hurt so badly before, but Tombow was always there for me, and the bond of trust grew over hours of note-taking and doodling together. Its best-in-class eraser made me feel like it wasn't judging me for my mistakes, but looking at the new me I was trying to become. Its difficult-to-find lead advance on the clip made me feel like there was a secret only shared between the two of us. That sleek industrial design kept me coming back for more. And its fragile little clip is just so moe. When the time was finally right, I felt confident enough to bring a second Tombow into my life. I've never looked back.

This is a solid well built pencil. Good weight to it and even though it is a 0.5mm lead does not seem to break easily. The loading mechanism works very well. If you are thinking of purchasing it just do it..you will like this mechanical pencil. Just remember that since it comes from Japan the wait is rather long...but worth it.

So far so good. I just got it today. The weight of the pencil is very nice. The shaker works very well and doesn't extend lead on accident (even when flipping the pencil over to erase and flipping it back to write). If you don't want to use the shake function you can depress the pocket clip down (parallel to the shaft) for easy lead dispense. The tip feels very solid when writing. I am not worried about lead breaking while writing with this pencil. The eraser is large, plentiful, and very effective. The area where you extend the eraser from even has a textured hard plastic to grip from while erasing. My only complaint is that the eraser just sits in the cavity without any mechanism to hold it in place. Most of the time friction does the job fine, but sometimes it does slide out. Friction does enough of a good job that this review still gets 5 stars. THANK YOU FOR MAKING SUCH A GREAT PRODUCT.

I've owned this pencil before and they're normally amazing, but this one has a small problem locking in place. Overall usable but mildly annoying!

I only wish they made one in a 7mm by mono Tomobo. Love this! Art teacher and artist.

Very nice pencil - not like the Pilot Shaker. You will have to be careful with the clip because it can break very easily. You will have to handle it with care. Smile. Unlike the Pilot it has longer eraser that will last pretty good while. It would be nice if the Pilot Shaker holds long eraser not having to worry about changing it when the eraser becomes shorter. Unfortunately, most of the Shakers' leads are 5mm. I like the 7mm better. The 5mm breaks easily depending on how you write.

These pencils are amazing. In my opinion, there is no better lead to write with than 0.5

great pencil that lasted me the whole school year
