ENO, Eagles Nest Outfitters Talon Ridgeline Storage Pocket, Regular

As a hammock (Clark NX250) camper, I immediately saw the value of having this for the small things that you like to have handy at night and even in the day time. I use mine for my headlamp temperature/clock guage, iPhone and ear buds. It works effortlessly and comes with it's own little stuff sack. I ran a separate ridgeline under my tarp for it and it works very well providing you keep the weight down. If you start to put too much into it (and who doesn't?) then you will need to take a couple of small carabiners and hook into the tarp ridgeling above to help support it. This will keep it from hanging too low and interfering with your hammock's mosquito netting and weather cover. Overall, well built, useful, and easy to pack.

The ENO stuff is good quality, and I never thought about having an adjustable tarp like, overhead glasses / pocket pouch, LED string, and other accessories on the same topline. Goes well with ENO or any other hammock. Check out other accessories - you will eventually want the under-hammock gear sling and some kind of under-insulation.

So, I am a huge fan of ENO products and I have a bunch of their stuff. Everything is always of a decent quality and the workmanship is very good. I've looked at this ridge-line organizer in the past, and finally decided to purchase. The organizer itself is decent and as usual, there is a little stuff-sack attached to it... Unfortunately, it seems as though this would have been a good time to use the unattached stuff-sack. The one provided with the organizer is much too small, especially when you're trying to fit everything back into it, including the provided cordage. I ended up removing the stuff-sack and have already ordered a replacement directly from ENO. (I purchased a replacement SUSPENSION SYSTEM stuff-sack for the ridge-line organizer and cordage.) As for the cordage they send you, I couldn't help but notice some minor defects towards one particular end (pics included.) It's not really a big deal and it shouldn't affect the functionality of the cord, but I was a little surprised that this one made it passed QC. All in all, this one little instance will not deter me from purchasing ENO stuff. I'm looking forward to trying this new piece of kit and as always, looking forward to the next hang!

This pocket held so many things for me while I hammock-camped on the Appalachian Trail. Beneath my tarp, during storms and anything else, I kept my phone, a large battery pack, camp shoes, earbuds, freeze dried snacks, notes and journal, headlamp, and my hat when it got cold. I mounted it just outside my mosquito net and I could reach out and find things in the dark without a problem. This was an absolutely necessary purchase, otherwise I would've had to pile so many things on the ground - and in the rain, this would've been a bad thing.

I've used this thing a couple times now and I'm not sure I'll bring it again.On the positive side, it's a reasonable size for those small items that you tend to misplace in the night like your phone or a book. It's also pretty handy to be able to send it to the foot of the hammock with a wrist flick vs. reaching down into your joey or trying to pack a lot of stuff into your pockets and hoping it stays put.That said, it's no great container. It's like a giant wallet, no real width at the base, so things never feel that secure in there. It also comes so tightly packed in its case that you'll never get it back in. I ditched whatever webbing it came with so I could pack the little sack in. And the same way you send it down your ridge line with a flick means it's going to come back on you unless you're perfectly level.This is all assuming you have an exposed ridge line. In the 'better than nothing' camp for me.

Miracle piece of equipment to have! I use it first then put rain fly over and pull it tight with hooks! Replaces need for the rope on ends of rain fly! And nice place to store things when camping. I also hang light from it so I can see what i am doing inside hammock.

Time will tell. Pocket will be nice add on. Line that came with it was so stiff, it is not useable. It was supposed to come with hooks attached to ridge line, all they were was prusik knots with no hooks attached. Pocket looks to be ok, but wanted to have hooks to attach other things.

The ENO products I have purchased have been well thought out, think designed by users, and very sturdy. I have had a cheap mesh hammock for many years but the ENO hammock and other equipment has been like going from an army barracks to the Marriott.
