Works perfect, could not be happier
Definitely the best rangefinder I have used by far. It is fast at close and medium ranges and has great long range potential. The furthest I have been able to try it on an animal was on an antelope in a wheat field at 1700 yards and another at 1850 yards. I will continue to test this rangefinder at longer ranges in the future. My plan was to used this for long range coyote hunting and I feel confident it will range a coyote freehand at well over 1000 yards, if not over 1500 yards, which both are beyond my rifle and shooting capabilities. All my rangefinding test have been done freehand or resting on the door of a vehicle, and I feel that using a tripod for the rangefinder would extend your range even further. I would love to try to range a deer at over 2000 yards if I get the chanceAs far as the handling, I like the readout options as they give you a few reticles to choose from and that you can change on the fly. The brightness is quick and easy to change as well as the units of measure. The control dial poking out of the one side is something you have to consider if you are buying a carrying case for it as it makes it a tight fit for most rangefinder cases.I feel like this rangefinder was built the way I want as it was designed with raw performance in mind. The glass is also truly amazing and I would love to try a maven scope in the future. I am thoroughly impressed and would recommend this rangefinder.

Great Laser Range Finder
Did a lot of research on laser range finders and this one really stood out and got great reviews. I replaced my Busnell’s Range Finder with this one. This is a true upgrade.

Been very good
I purchased this several years ago. I’ve ranged targets out beyond 3000 yards. It performs well in a variety of conditions and has held up well to rough field use. I’ve used range finders by most of the common names (under $600) and the Maven out performs. Highly recommend.

Tremendous
Black animals are difficult to range.I bought this for an upcoming elk hunt.On a tripod I have ranged cows from 640 to 748 yards. It might range farther, that's just my farthest so far.Well worth the money.

Outstanding!!!!
Unlike all of their competitors, the Maven just works! When I say works, I mean works to and beyond it's rated range of 4,500 yards! I've messed with Nikon, Vortex, etc. and they take way to long to track my target and fall short of their rated range, some by over 50%. The Maven is most definitely the range finder you want, I don't care if you are shooting 40 yards or 4,000 yards. Get the Maven and you won't be disappointed, because nothing else compares that is even close to their price point!!!!

Buy it, you wont regret it
I've bought 3 other rangefinders in the 65.00-150.00 range and they never do what they say they'll do. I needed one that would work good at 1000 yards. This one ranges it very fast and accurately. It's heavy duty and feels a lot different than the cheap plastic ones. I'm very satisfied with this product. Buy it, you wont regret it. Update: Im using it with a Krestel . I've shot a deer at 670 yards and betond and its accurate.
