Digital Macro & Close-up Photography: New Edition

A well written book covering many aspects of Macro and close focus photography. Very good advice on lighting etc. Recommended.Experience of buying this from Amazon was poor. I opted to have it delivered to my local Amazon Hub Counter at the Post Office Wokingham in order to try and avoid delivery issues I'd experienced from Amazon in the past. It took them 5 delivery attempts over a 2 week period and involved several support calls to try and get them to sort it out. This included them ordering a replacement. It was eventually delivered to the Amazon Hub Counter 2 weeks late.

Quality product at good price. Superbly illustrated and full of helpful information.

Got this for my dad for Father’s Day and he loves it.

This is a lovely book but it isn’t aimed at beginners. There is a lot of technical jargon in it and I found it hard to grasp. I also thought some of the chapters could have been in a different order perhaps.

As with any book writen by Ross you are up for a treat. Ross explains what equipment/accessories are available and differences in not heavy technical terminology so it is easy to understand.Explenation of technique (exposure, shutter speed, aperture, etc) with detailed explanation of lighting options and how they influence result.This followed by examples of variety of subjects/topics/idea to photograph and finished with tips for post-processing.If you interested to learn from best this is the book to read and author to follow for future publications.
