PIR sensors are used to detect human movement. Once the security system is armed from APP, the user phone can receive alert message each time the sensor detection is triggered. The message is received without opening the APP. Installation : a) Remove the tape to power up , b) Press the "connect" button on the gateway. The power of the wireless PIR sensor consumes really low, as a result, it may take up to 1 minute to complete the join/connecting process, c) Stick the PIR sensor to place where you want to monitor human body movement, d) Download APP and follow instruction. No documentation! Do not work with SmartThings!
Ordered two of these to use with my home automation setup (SmartThings). Since these are supposed to work on ZigBee, I presumed that there was a chance that these could work with SmartThings. Unfortunately, there is zero supporting literature online to support/ refute my assumptions. I received these within 2 days of ordering them. The packaging was minimal (paper boxes enclosed the actual sensors). Supporting documentation with the product was a joke (no manual included. no link for online support). The sensors feel cheap and poorly made. As expected, neither of the two sensors was detected by my hub. I don't know if they would work with any older zigbee devices. Terribly disappointed.

My hub supports ZigBee and z wave, it couldn't find this sensor.
