beautiful bag
I bought this for my hard-working daughter who is in sales and travels a local route throughout the day. She carries lots of paperwork and stays organized with binders and journals. I took a picture of everything she fit in the bag and it does include her 15 inch laptop. She loves things that are feminine and girly. I wasn't sure she'd like this bag because she has never had anything leather before. Our first impression when she opened the package was "wow". It really looks sharp. The only negative, which hopefully is temporary, was the overwhelming bad scent of the bag. Could it be the goat hide? To be honest, the goat hide isn't a negative - it looks good. Also, it had a noticeable amount of surface oil. Both the scent and surface oil should diminish as she uses the bag. These are the positives.1. The bag is gorgeous and looks expensive.2. It fits her 15" laptop that has a hard cover on it.3. It's smaller than I think it looks in the picture,. This is nice for women. It is still roomy; she got everything in it plus her laptop which she does not take with her every day.4. The two options for carrying - shoulder strap or top handle - are nice.5. I have confidence over time, the bag will take on the patina and feel that cow hide does.6. Addressing the unisex look: Leather is genderless! The look and feel of classic leather is timeless! These things never go out of style. We've lost some of this appreciation due to all the new, man made fabrics everywhere. I'm all for technology and moving ahead, but leather is unique and speaks quality.

High End Briefcase
I won’t buy anything without reading both negative and positive reviews, but I must confess that this is actually my very first review on anything I have ever bought on Amazon. I felt that this leather laptop briefcase is such a great product that it compelled me to write one. I’m hoping that my review will encourage someone else to purchase this briefcase and experience the privilege to own such a high end briefcase. Not to genderize the bag, but if you’re a guy like me who wants a briefcase that screams out “Guy”, this is it. Today was only day one and already I was given two complements (and both from guys mind you).At first I thought it was going to be too small to fit my two cushion sleeved 13 inch Mac pros, their chargers, and an external hard drive, but it all fit and there’s still room to spare. The bag is constructed extremely well and the quality of the leather is as mentioned already, high end. I have to be honest and say, that this bag is actually under priced. If I were you and you’re reading this review, you should buy this briefcase before the maker realizes it’s underpriced it will raise the price. Speaking of the maker, when I opened the briefcase, there was a personalized signed thank you letter inside the briefcase, offering the best possible customer service and that for any reason you don’t feel you are not receiving five-star service, to simply email them first, so that they may correct any shortcomings. That to me, spoke volumes as to what a great company is crafting this briefcase.

What I've Been Looking For (Mostly)
I've been looking for a bag in this format for YEARS. I've even searched through Amazon looking for it. A link on social media to another product featured this bag. (Apparently, it's been available here since 2013.)It's a lot of leather bag for the money. It holds my two sketchbooks, an iPad Pro, and my drawing utensils—tightly. There are two thin pockets inside, with the main compartment. Another pocket on the back with a zipper. The front pocket, not sure what I'd do with that one, but it's there. Personally, I'd like just one big compartment, without the two smaller ones.Construction is okay-to-pretty good. It's a sometimes carry for me right now--when I'm downsizing to just take my sketching stuff and don't need my laptop too. So, I think it will hold up over time for my purposes. As long as you aren't carrying heavy stuff with it, you'll be all right I think.I'd like for it to be an inch or so deeper. They do note that the bag softens up over time, so perhaps that will help--it did arrive VERY STIFF. (But even then, that's ok.)Again, the price point is key. Competitors' bags run in the hundreds and I think you're still getting a little more than your money's worth here.

Didn't hold up for 2 days of use
I received this on Saturday and on Monday, I got it ready for work. Wallet, some pens, a small notebook and my phone. Wore it to work. Received nice comments on it. Repeated on Wednesday.Thursday morning, after approximately having used the bag very lightly for 16 total hours, most of that sitting on a desk, I go to leave the house with it and notice 3 puncture holes on the front. I panic at perceieved damage before realizing the buckle has come off. I look everywhere but can't find it. Depressed because a bag I like lacks quality, I file for a return.I get into the car and find the buckle on the floor. It was apparently held on by 3 very small prongs, which are now just slightly open, meaning it fell off from shifting and wasn't due to handling. I consider fixing it, but after re-examining the bag, there is no way to get up against the area where the prongs will go to reseat them from the inside. Then it makes me wonder what will happen if I put actual weight in the bag. Right now, it is super stiff, so even full, there wouldn't be much pressure exuded on the straps, but when it begins to loosen and become slack, those little tiny prongs aren't going to hold things safely closed.I was really wanting to like this bag. I have had it on my list for ages...blah.By the way, a 15.6" laptop barely fits, and with a sleeve, there is basically no way to close the flap, hence my using it as a purse. On top of that, it is so stiff, and has very little lining, that one would probably not feel comfortable without a padded sleeve.
