Cub Scout project
Looking for a project to do with my Webelos (10 year old Cub Scouts). The instructions are easy enough: waxed thread, needle, 4 panels of faux suede, and a small quantity of plastic beads for stuffing. The sample bag that I just made up -- before I went ahead and ordered enough for 15 kids -- leaves me a little undecided if this is a good project for the boys. The holes punched in the fabric made it very easy to stitch, however the bag turned out more spherical (like a football) than round, and I don't think there were nearly enough plastic beads to stuff it adequately. I probably could have used twice as many plastic beads.

A nice crafts project for the hacky sack enthusiast
A fair amount of work to make - so don't do this if all you want is an inexpensive hacky sack. But the instructions are good and the kit is complete
