I was skeptical - what could this silicon bowl do better that a regular pot on the stove? Turns out, it’s way better. The microwave cooks more evenly, and in this popper I’ve never had single a burnt kernel, but nor are there a ton of left over unpopped kernels! It’s so easy to use - just put in a couple tablespoons of oil (I use avocado oil, and add in a bit of salted butter). Put in the kernels, turn on the microwave, and voila, perfect popcorn every time! We’ve ended up using this a lot. It folds up small so it doesn’t take up much space, and can be washed in the dishwasher. Add a bag of organic kernels and you’ve got a great gift set.

We absolutely love this bowl! I just add the popcorn (love that the lid has a built-in measuring area), butter, and popcorn salt all at once, pop in the microwave, and it’s perfection. Very few unpopped kernels, and so much easier than stovetop, plus no gnarly chemicals like the bags. It is quite hot, so use a dish towel, ovglove, or potholder to remove.One tip: wash by hand with a scent-free dish soap, otherwise the popcorn tastes like dishwashing soap or dishwasher detergent, just like anything else silicone. But my daughter and I are pretty sensitive to taste.

I bought this to generate fewer waste items from single use containers, which is how most microwaveable popcorn bags are sold.One of my biggest concerns was that the popcorn texture would be different. I was right: it’s different and BETTER! The lid keeps the kernels in the bowl while they pop and prevent any splatter from oil or butter. I like that I can season the popcorn to my liking. And portions can be adjusted too based on how many people are sharing. Popcorn has been our go to snack since we got this bowl.One thing to note is that there’s a slight learning curve around how long to pop kernels without burning them. I’m sure you could find a video to learn if needed.My complaints are that to make this bowl collapsible, the silicone is a bit soft, so do be careful when you pick it up or you get popcorn everywhere. When you’re done popping, it can be difficult to pick up the bowl from the microwave because it’s very hot on its sides and the top is venting steam from the popcorn.Overall, great purchase! It’s definitely an upgrade from microwaveable popcorn in bags.

Makes it possible to have a quick healthy snack at a moments notice. Lid doesn't fit well but it does a good enough job

We have been popping popcorn in a cooking pot ever since our popcorn machine imploded a few years ago. While that was ok, we had to add oil and the pot lid always held onto so much steam that dripped back down onto the freshly popped kernels rendering them instantly mushy. Ugh. So I stumbled across this silicone bowl in an YouTube video and was intrigued. I will say this is the best $25 bucks I've spent in a long time. No more soggy popcorn, no oil, no messy cleanup…you simply dump the kernels in, throw it in the microwave for like 2.5 minutes and voila, perfect, crunchy, healthier popcorn!!! Bonus, this popcorn maker moonlights as a veggie steamer!! Some other reviews had mentioned problems with the lid but my lid sits exactly where it’s supposed to sit with no issues. There is no nasty plastic in the bowl or lid and the bowl collapses down for easy storage when not in use. I’m super impressed with the product and very happy I bought it.

Great single serving popcorn maker! Healthy and inexpensive snack. Ditch the microwave popcorn packets. This is cheaper, no packaging or waste. Almost every kernel pops. Nothing to throw in the trash. No chemicals or fake butter. Add your own. Dishwasher safe. Collapsible for storage.

We like this bowl but it’s not the best. Firstly, it gets very hot and you need oven mitts or a towel to get it out of the microwave. You can’t go straight to eating unless you put a towel on your lap. Also, it’s too small to make popcorn for two people, so we end up dumping it on another bowl so we can make more. Plus, if you follow the directions with the appropriate amount of kernels, it pops the bowl so full that you can’t drizzle it with butter or oil and put the lid back on to shake it around, it just sits there bec it’s to full. We wanted a bowl with a lid specifically so we didn’t have to transfer to another bowl and stir the toppings around, which inevitably ends up with popcorn spilling out all over the counter. And then there’s two dirty bowls. Overall, it’s a convenient way to make popcorn and it will leave just about a dozen kernels unpopped at the bottom of the bowl. But I might try a different brand next time. I like that it goes in the dishwasher and collapses for storage.

Works great to make popcorn, or steam veggies real quick. Super durable and easy to work with.Does not take up much space at all, and easy to clean.
