Asking for Trouble
**MINOR SPOILERS**This is the third book in the Credence, Colorado series. It can be read as a standalone although some of the characters from the first two books appear. I read the first book and loved it. I jumped right in to read the second book and did not like it very much at all. I hesitated about whether to buy this book because I was not sure if it would be like the first or the second. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by this book. One of the things that I am not a fan of is a lot of sexual references and the idea that sex is all a joke. The author finds that funny. For example, early on in the book, Della speaks to a senior at the place where she works and the senior goes on about how big her husband had been and how firm. She also talks about how she still has needs and uses a vibrator. She laughs when Della accidentally picks up her vibrator and says she just washed it. It is not the type of humor that appeals to me, but it is part of the way the book is written (not just the one scene). There were other places in the book that imply sex is no big deal. Sex has its (very good, very fun) place, but I expect more in a romance – intimacy, caring, even lust, – not just sex is meaningless.Della, one of the main characters, has survived a terrible first marriage. She lives with her brother who has been supportive and protective and is the one who rescued her from her marriage. She comes across as fragile though I think it is great that she is trying to get past what happened to her.Tucker, the other main character, is a good friend of Della’s brother. He is 11 years older than her. He comes across as a hard working but kind man. Early in the book, you find out he is on Tinder (when Della signs up, they get connected as a potential match) so there is a reference that he used that to “hook up” when he went on a trip to New York City. This relates back to the idea I mentioned earlier that sex is cheap and oh so funny. There is a long scene where Della and several others go to a sex toy store that seems endless. I am sure it is meant to be funny as well.Mid book, Della kisses Tucker after he says no. I felt it was very hypocritical for the author to talk about how important it was for men to listen to women and then have a scene where Della proceeds against Tucker’s wishes. She also leaves Tucker with the impression that she was having a flashback or other negative reaction to the kisses and he feels contempt for himself because he thinks he went too far. She knows that he misunderstood her reaction, but lets him think that anyway. There were a few other places in the book where Della backs Tucker into a corner and I really did not like that about her. He tells her she looks nice and she basically forces him to give a “better” answer and he does. He admits she looks sexy, but he had not really wanted to do so. When you say something like that out loud, it changes the dynamic and Tucker knew it. Della forced it anyway. Tucker feels constrained and does not want a relationship with her because of their age difference (11 years) and because she is the sister of his very good friend. Both are good reasons to be careful about getting into a relationship. There were other examples where I thought Della pushed as well.Della’s brother, Arlo, is a cop. The author mentions that he has seen a lot of awful things, but they do not seem to bother him. He is sensitive and protective of Della so this is unrealistic. The author uses way too many italics for emphasis.I do not plan to continue reading this author.

Great book
Another fabulous story in the Credence, Colorado series. Now normally my favorite character is always the hot guy and while Tucker was quite fine, Della was awesome! There was just something about her that I just loved and I could not wait for her to finally get her happily ever after. Della had only been in Credence for a few years but her life up to that was awful and she needed the time to recover and try to start a new life. When she was finally ready to start fresh she asked her brother’s friend, Tucker, to be her wingman. Tucker is a fantastic guy and understands what Della is trying to do and helps her. Of course nothing can be easy because Della and Tucker both have crushes on each other but according to Tucker nothing can happen because he is so much “older” than Della and her brother is his best friend so it would just be weird. This is where I started to love Della. Della didn’t have any friends when she came to Credence but she slow made a few good ones and she had her therapist that she could talk to and because of this and what Della was trying to overcome she just asked for what she wanted. Della didn’t play games and just hoped things would happen, if she wanted something she asked no matter how awkward the conversation might be. I absolutely loved this about her. And of course she asked several thing of Tucker and he did help her out and WOW did he help her out! They really were a fabulous couple and were exactly what the other needed. This may have been my favorite book so far in the series. But I am hoping that Arlo gets a book next with a certain romance writer!

Steamy, funny, cleverly written with great characters. When she asks for “help” in the bedroom! OMG
This author is new to me but I must read the next book (which I hope is about Arlo and Winona)!Della Munroe is 25yo, been living and healing in Credence, Colorado with her new-found brother Arlo who saved her from an extremely brutal and abusive marriage. Thing is, Arlo is over-protective and Della is ready to get her groove on, you know what I mean…so she signs up with Tinder but Arlo wants protection for her. Enter Tucker Daniels, 36yo owner of the local watering hole in this small town and Arlo’s BFF. What Arlo doesn’t know and Tucker doesn’t want to admit is that he has a crush on Della. But, she’s his best friend’s little sister and she’s eleven years younger than him. She would never have feelings for him. Right?!Thus, begins the “re-education” of Della Munroe in the ways of the dating world, which becomes more :-) and in secret. Arlo doesn’t know. Many others guess it. One wants to tell…or else. What will they do? I will admit some of the events at the end were not expected. When you read what abuse Della endured, you will be furious! How Tuck gave her unconditional love will put a smile on your face.I loved this book and it comes highly recommended. Still waiting for Arlo’s book. He’s so sweet. He deserves one. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Entangled/NetGalley. More than 5 Stars for sure!

Loved it!
I love being back in Credence. This is such a cute series. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to read an early copy of this gem thanks to Entangled Publishing and Net Galley.Della's story I was very much looking forward to it and I knew it would be one I would love. Della and Tucker will give you all the feels. He's her brother's best friend who she's been crushing on and she decides he is going to be the one to help her while she gets her life going again. I love a brother's best friend story. You will laugh, swoon, and in the end fall in love with these two. This is an absolute must read. While it is part of a series it can be read as a stand-alone. I myself have only read the first book in the series before I started to read this one. But I am definitely going to be reading the second one right away. So I highly recommend the ENTIRE series. It's the perfect binge read to escape with during these crazy times.

A Delight As Always Andrews
I love Amy Andrews' writing. She always makes me laugh and cry but there's definitely more laughter then tears. I loved watching Tucker and Della fall in love and I'm really hoping the next book is Drew's story. I KNOW Winona and Arlo are only a matter of time tho. Can't wait for either story and I'm gonna be hard pressed to find romances of the same caliber to hold me over till then.
