Exceptional High Heat Silicone a Good Solution for Industrial Applications
I recently purchased the Rutland Products Black 10 Fl Oz 600F RTV High Heat Silicone for an industrial application involving sealing around a hot duct, and I couldn't be happier with the results. This product deserves a solid 5-star rating for several reasons. First and foremost, the temperature rating of 600F is exceptional and exactly what I needed for my high-heat application. It performed flawlessly, and I had complete peace of mind knowing that it could handle the extreme conditions without any issues. Applying this silicone was a breeze. The nozzle made it easy to control the flow, and the consistency of the product was just right. It adhered perfectly to the surfaces, and I was able to achieve a tight, secure seal. Even in the demanding industrial environment, it held up exceptionally well. The black color of the silicone also blended seamlessly with the surrounding materials, giving the final result a polished and professional look. In summary, the Rutland Products 600F RTV High Heat Silicone is a top-notch product that delivered outstanding performance for my industrial sealing needs. It's durable, easy to apply, and provides a reliable seal, making it an excellent choice for high-temperature applications. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in a similar situation. It's a 5-star product all the way!

Rutland Silicone Sealant (76b)
I bought this sealant for the large metal back panel for our wood stove that goes up against the stone front of our fireplace. It had a gap as much as 3/4" to 1/4" all the way up, across and down a total space of at least 10 feet and it took 3 tubes of sealant to fill the gap so it would stop the draft and the fire would burn hot and clean. With this gap open the fireplace did not have enough draft to get the smoke up the chimney and out of the stove. This is the best sealant because it sets to a very flexible endless rope, it forms an air tight seal that expands and contracts with the heat and cool. The sealant is black and blends in with the black steel fireplace back and it works great, use rubber gloves and be very careful because it could cause a major cleanup job which you don't need. It is a little expensive but it is worth every penny because of the wonderful job it does, if you have a air gap to seal than this is the sealant for the job at high temperatures.

Worked great on my glass stove top
Worked great on my glass stove top. I needed to fill a gap between the glass so crap didn't get under the top and liquid didn't drip under it and make a mess in the cabinet below. The granite wasn't level so the top wasn't. I had to jack up the back about a a 1/4 inch which caused an unacceptable gap. No sign of damage to the sealant from heat or cleaning and no nasty food accumulating under the top! Use painter's tape to make a flawless looking finish. Nice firm seal (When dry) so the top has support and won't flex to crack the glass (Ceramic) top.

Used to seal flue collar as well as door gasket
I used this high temp RTV silicone instead of gasket cement when replacing the door gasket. Works well. I think old school is to use gasket cement, but the RTV is somewhat easier to use. Before closing door, place a few sheets of newspaper between gasket and mating surface on stove. This to ensure that you don't get silicon in places where not desired. Makes for a clean install. I let the door sit for a few days like that.

What you need to seal gaps and make gaskets on hot surfaces (i.e. stove vents)
This is the silicone product you need to seal gaps around your stove (wood, pellet, gas) venting - also known as RTV (room temperature vulcanizing). It's liquid silicone that goes on wet and dries to a hard silicone rubber. Used for making/creating gaskets between two mating surfaces or for filling in gaps around a high temperature surface. Amazon had it for the same price as the big box hardware stores and the hardware stores typically don't have the black color in the larger cartridge in stock. If you only need a smaller tube of this and don't care about the color, your local big box hardware store likely has it in stock in the fireplace section; it will be the same brand but it will be a smaller tube (less than 3 ounces) and red in color.
