Mountfield MHT 2322 Petrol Fuel Powered Hedge Trimmer, For trimming garden hedges and bushes, 70cm dual action blades, 22.5cc 2-stroke petrol engine (Red)

I have used this over two. days now. Here is my thoughts.Weight, it is heavy, but it is manageable (most petrol trimmers are from what see even the expensive pro trimmers, from what I see most sit around the 5kg mark ).Starting, the trimmer started on 2 or 3 pulls even on the next day from a cold start.Noise , expect that - but again all / most petrol based trimmers will be. It is fine. Use ear defenders.Safety cut off switch - The little on and off switch is spring loaded, so it’s NOT easy to knock to off when it’s operating (great idea).Vibration - this is good , you feel very little.Twistable handle - this is a great idea, it really helps.Overall, I am delighted with this trimmer and would recommend it.

Came well packed, Instructions were clear. Some confusion in the oil/petrol mix ratio but was clarified at 40:1. Initial start was good but run was unstable finally diagnosed by me as bad carburettor adjustment. I had the necessary tool, made adjustments, and in less than two minutes it was running sweetly.Other than the above it seems to be a well constructed item and fit for purpose

Delighted with this hedge trimmer. Quite literally halved the time it took me with battery operated trimmer for all my hedges . Great quality cut and weight / balance is great . Only minor gripe is fuel tank isn’t large but suppose that’s offset with weightRecommended

After my other cutter broke and needed to cut my hedge I looked at the reviews and was reluctant however as of every amazon review you get the fake reviews, I went with my gut and this is the best choice ever. It as cut massive hedging and it's powerful a little heavier then my previous but that's cause it's powerful & better.I recommend this to anyone it's a lifesaver and it's the best cutter currently, I have had no issues so far.

My original review is below but I got it out of the garage to do the first cut on Saturday 4/6/22 and after about 6 feet of cutting, the handle broke off and the trigger stuck. Really poor standard. I bought this because of the reputation but it is not very good at all.The supplier, says I have to take it to service company for inspection but I haven't had it 12 months yet and almost all of that time it has been in my garage. Not impressed at the moment.Only used it twice and it is very effective. You have to get the fuel mix right or it cuts out. I use a hitachi one at work which is considerably lighter but costs a lot more

I've had a few Mountfield garden tools and was just as impressed with this hedge trimmer it's so simple to use not so heavy as it looks and feels like good quality cutting blades come with protective cover and if its same engine as my lawn mower I know its going to last years and years with only slight maintenance needed got a 5ft high and 20ft Bush that's been left since last year uncut put this on it and job was so easy no wires to worry about and sliced threw it like butter 10/10 only downside is its abit noisy when running full speed

I can't say I am an expert on petrol hedge trimmers, but this one is... well it's ok. Upgrading from an electric one, the two main things you notice is what a faff it is to start it, and goodness me it's LOUD. It's also pretty heavy so not the most comfortable to wave around from the top of a ladder.That said, once it warms up it does the job so I cant really complain too much.
