- Americana is a blend of Strictly Hard Bean (SHB) and Strictly High Grown (SHG) coffees from Latin America. All beans are gourmet Arabica and are roasted to a Medium City+ roast level.

- 100% dual certified organic and Fair Trade (both Fair Trade USA and FLO). FLO is the original Fair Trade certification and is much more strict than Fair Trade USA
- Gourmet grade. Central and South American coffees are Strictly High Grown (SHG) and Strictly Hard Bean (SHB). This means they were grown at high elevation which results in a slow developing bean. These beans are more dense and flavorful. These coffees are lower yielding and more expensive, but very complex and flavorful. All other origins are of the highest grade Arabica.
- Coffees are bagged immediately after roasting. Nectar of Life packages the coffee in heat sealed foil laminate bags equipped with one-way degassing valves. By immediately bagging the coffee oxygen is naturally flushed from the bags by the CO2 gas, which keeps the coffee fresh for a full year. Some coffee roasters store pre-roasted coffee in silos and bag as needed. Even if they use nitrogen flushing and vacuum bagging their coffees are going to be stale.
