Very dark, and so sad.
I am a great lover of true crime books, and I've read a lot of them. To tell the truth this book made my blood run cold, this story is so amazingly awful that it could only be true, the in depth research done for this book by the author is second to none as a result I've ordered more of his books. Very good accounts of what really happened, not for the faint hearted. Very well written and documented. Highly recommend.

A MUST FOR TRUE CRIME READERS! 👍
I have followed this case from the beginning and still cannot believe or understand how such an evil monster as Christopher Watts is still alive and breathing. In my personal opinion he should have been given the death penalty and it should have been carried out within days. We don't need scum like him in his world! I also still believe his mistress was somehow involved in these shocking murders and I pray that one day, her past catches up with her. I pre-ordered this book and was pleased when it arrived on the day guaranteed by Amazon. This is the best book I have read about The Watts Case. Superbly written, with a few details that I wasn't even aware of. I have watched and listened to all The Discovery Tapes on YouTube so this book really made more sense afterwards. If you want to know all about The Watts Case, then this is the book for you. Extremely upsetting and heartbreaking in parts, reading about Shanann, Bella, CeCe, Nico and The Rzucek family. Four beautiful lives just taken away by The Monster, Watts. If anyone deserves the Death Penalty its Christopher Watts - just get him out of this world, he is pure pure evil. My thoughts and prayers will always be with Shanann, her babies and the Rzucek family. Congrats to John Glatt - I read this book in 2 days, I literally could not put it down!

Great Book
This a great account of the horrific Watts Family murders. I am interested in true crime and this case has really stuck with me since watching the Netflix documentary. The book is well written and starts from the beginning of their relationship. A couple of issues with this book though is that at points Shannan Watts is portrayed in a very bad light in a biased way. I put this down to the fact only his family agreed to be interviewed (and Shannan's family understandably didn't) and his family disliked Shannan a lot.As I've watched body cam footage, interviews and his 2019 confession on YouTube I did find a few sections were slightly inaccurate but overall a good read and I read the book in less than a week which is fast for me.The story is heartbreaking and I think what has affected me so much is the fact of how he did what he did and also the why?! I guess we have a rough idea but his confessions have twisted and turned so much only he will truly know what happened in the early hours of 13th August 2018.

very well written account of the Watts case
I'd read a lot online about this case but John Glatt writes a comprehensive account and adds some details previously not in the public domain. Very easy to read and doesn't over dramatise this terribly sad story.
