This mount is almost perfect. The reason I say almost is because my vehicles do not have wireless Apple CarPlay, otherwise this product as a wireless charger would be absolutely perfect. It’s recommended to NOT use both plug-in and wireless charging simultaneously. So the 16mm gap at the bottom is designed for any charge cable, and in my case to connect Apple CarPlay. I have mine mounted on the far side of the passenger’s center vent. It’s not blocking any of the knobs, controls, or buttons of the screen or air system. I mounted it as far off center as possible, that way I can still adjust the direction and angle of the air vent. Air blows like normal, if anything a passenger might notice that the air is aimed slightly more in their direction due to the size and angle of my 12-Pro Max. The 3-point mount with the hook is absolutely perfect. It is strong and solid. Shows no signs of weakness towards my big heavy IPhone 12-Pro Max. It doesn’t shake or vibrate. It doesn’t lean or tip down while driving. It stays in the exact position I want the whole time while driving. There is a second mount included that does not have a hook, similar to a chip bag clamp. I’m guessing it’s for very weird shaped air vents. The clamping is strong and solid but, nothing like the 3-point mount with the adjustable hook. The best part is, which credit goes to Apple. My phone unlocks by face-ID even being mounted all the way on the other side of the center stack. Very neat, and easy. If your vehicle has wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, skip this and buy a mount with wireless charging. This mount is perfect for vehicles that require a cable connection for charging, and/or for cable connected Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also looks sexy. Compliments my dark interiors very well, and blends in nicely at night. I’m a car enthusiast, so the carbon fiber pattern is home to me and adds to the already existing real carbon fiber. Looks real and luxurious.

As the title says, it's a good product that's made well and works well holding the phone. The one problem is that the part that's supposed to fit in my air vent doesn't really fit in it. I have two vehicles that it won't fit in, and though they're both Jeeps, they're different models with air vents that are quite different from each other.I do however like the IDEA of the design, and I can see that IF it fits then it's probably superior to anything out there.So you may be wondering why I only deducted one star since it won't even fit in either of my vehicles. The answer is that they proactively threw in a standard vent mount for the holder that can be used if the fancy one doesn't work out. Yes I did end up spending a lot more money for this because of the unique mounting system that I didn't even get to use, but including that standard mount at least made it possible to use the device without having to return it. It's actually a nice holder even with the standard mount. It's easy to attach and release the phone, and it looks and feels like high-quality materials and workmanship.Unfortunately I don't think there's any way to determine whether it will fit as advertised in your particular vehicle without buying and trying it, but at least you can probably still use it if it doesn't. I can tell you that it will definitely not work as shown in a 2010 Jeep Gladiator or a 2001 Jeep Wrangler, though it will if you use the standard vent mount.

I ordered this cell phone holder for when I travel and need to use it in rental cars as I am never sure if or where I can set my phone & be able to see the maps & navigation. This way I don't have to pay extra for navigation in my rentals. This little unit is perfect for the job, it comes with two different clips, holds my phone perfectly (Galaxy S9), feels really sturdy, and looks great. I did have an issue with the vent clip after several uses, & looking on their page Andobil says they have improved the clip. I also had the nut that holds the clip in place split. So I reached out to them, and they were quick to respond, very respectful, I sent them a photo, and the next day they had my replacement parts in the mail. So I give the product 4.5 stars, but their customer service and speedy action gets them 5 stars. I would give them 7 or 8 if I could just based on their customer service. I would buy this product again, and probably will for stocking stuffers next Christmas, and would recommend it to family and friends.

Andobil provides great customer support! They reached out to hear about my experience with this product which was not very good at the time. I complained that the rotator loosens up after a few rotation and clams are not tight enough to hold a large Pixel phone. My phone actually fell out when I went over a street bump. Also the design is somewhat out of proportion and my hand hits the phone while driving quite a few times. Anthony - Andobil customer service team - was extremely helpful, sending pictures and explaining tips how to use the device correctly. He also sent a cup holder version of the product since I'm not very happy with compare to vent holder version. That one is much easier to use and more stable since it sits in the cup holder rather than air vent. Overall I'm very satisfied. Great customer care provided by Anthony is noteworthy.
