KEEN Newport H2 Sandal (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid)

I bought a pair each for my son and daughter. My son wears a size 11 in skechers and I bought a 12 in keen, my daughter wears a 12.5 and I bought a size 3. Both shoes are very wide but my kids have narrow feet and they each have about 1/3 inch space from their toes to the front of the shoes. They both like them and said they were very comfortable. However, they wore this to swim lessons and was slipping and sliding all over the place. I thought it was just the pool deck but it was slippery in the restrooms and the sidewalk-they could barely walk. My son slipped and fell a few times. These will not be worn anywhere near water again. It's a shame because I thought they were water proof. The kids will be using their crocs for the beach and pool.

I wanted to love this shoe. However, the shoe is too wide and my daughters foot is narrow making the strap too big for her foot. I need more Velcro surface area in order to close the shoe properly. Also, my daughter pulls the Velcro on and off and it is very worn that it barely sticks anymore. Also, this shoe has a foul smelling stench to it. I am not sure what it is but it's really gross.

We purchased this sandal for our 14 month old at the beginning of May 2012 and he's loved wearing it ever since we got it. It seems comfortable on his feet and there are no red marks or other signs of irritation. He's not quite old enough to be able to put them on himself but he tries! I love the fact that while they're sandals that can get wet that they still do an excellent job protecting his feet, especially as the walking thing is relatively new to him. I'm sure that the closed rubber toe has saved a lot of pain.My only complaint is that the durability may be questionable. We purchased these at a brick-and-mortar store locally and after two months one end of the lace pulled out from where it was sewn in (see customer pictures). The local store was out of stock when I tried to exchange it, so I returned for a merchandise credit and bought them from Amazon. So despite the defect, I bought them again hoping that we won't experience the same issue. Otherwise, I would have rated it 5-stars. If it holds up, I can see myself owning one in every size as my son grows.

My son loves his new sandals. Beware, they do not actually come with the adjustable elastic as shown in some of the pictures. Otherwise wonderful and cute.

I couldn't wait to get these shoes in the mail, and once I received them, I immediately put them on and I was amazed at how comfortable they were! I'm glad I went a half size down and got the 8.5, they fit perfectly! I have had a few days to break them in, and they did rub against the sides and back of my feet, but I'm sure in a few more days they'll be even comfortable. I got a lot of compliments those couple of days I wore them, and I have seen no one else around with the black/houndstooth style!

Bought these in size 4 when my gal was just starting to walk and they quickly became the only shoes she wore all summer long. The sole has a nice curve to it, which is great for learning walkers. The velcro strap makes it super easy to put on and take off and the color selection is phenomenal. She's now pushing out of the 4's so a pair of 5's are on the way! I know these Newports will be a part of her summer staples for years to come.

My 7 and 9 year old kids have a pair, they love them as they are comfortable and easy to get on and off. For some reason Keen has changed the design and the back of the shoe is fully covered in and so there is little air flow causing the shoes to be extremely stinky. We wash them regularly in washing machine but after wearing them for a few hours hype are stinky again.

These sandals stayed on his feet. He never complained that they hurt. At almost 2 he's learning to take them off himself. Only complaint is that after 4 months of wear the velcro isn't as secure. I've tried removing some of the "fuzz" that gets into the velcro, but that's easier said than done. I'll buy another pair for him next summer for sure.
