Right part got the job

Hard to find locally. Definitely not at the big orange or blue box hardware stores! Sometimes you can find at a well stocked ACE Hardware, but that's not always the case. If you have an ABS pipe that is broken/cracked at a fitting, these slide right on. Sometimes a little dish detergent helps if it's a tight fit. I always keep a couple extra lying around the house, just in case, because it takes a while for them to arrive.

Worked perfectly for fitting my 1.5" pipe into the sump pump cap, which is about 0.25"-0.5" thicker than the pipe. Please note that when it says 1.5", they are talking about what the pipe is labeled. I believe it's the inside diameter and not the outside diameter of the pipe. I had originally purchased the 2x2" flared coupling because of this misread!
