There were several of these on Amazon -- mine was indicated as "Sold by Sale Stores and fulfilled by Amazon" and shipped via Prime; it was pricier than some of the other options. YES, this is genuine -- or as close to it as it gets. Another reviewer posted video showing the difference between the cheapy fakes and the real deal: the one I got from Amazon matched his real one (the writing on mine is actually part of the white shrink wrap around the battery). When I picked out the old super cheap replacement battery I'd bought on auction elsewhere, it was just a white paper label stuck onto white plastic shrink wrap. Another difference was that the old replacement caused my phone's handset get warm while charging, and it lasted less than a year. This new battery pack doesn't get warm at all and holds a charge for at LEAST three days (haven't left the phone off its charger longer than that, so maybe it could even go further). Grateful to the advice here in being able to tell the difference between cheapy fakes and real deal, esp. since I experienced both.

I’v only had the battery for a month but this battery was easy to install and is working great so far! I’ll try it for a little while longer and then order another for my second handset. Only reason for 4 stars is because I don’t have long term data on its lifespan to give 5 stars.

Bought 2. Both charged to 100%. These seem to be an exact replacement as they fit perfectly in the battery compartment of my old Uniden BT-909 phones; the last replacements were smaller. Of course I don't know how long they will last, but I think these are good.

I was so glad I came to Amazon to find a replacement battery for my Uniden phone. I wasn't aware of the many, many tricksters out there who are marketing so-called "authentic" Uniden batteries that are not the real thing. I looked at several choices on Amazon, and I found the correct battery based on 2 clues: the product number and cover info (which are on the authentic battery that came with my phone in the first place) and the fact that this product page clearly states that it is for Uniden phones (the phony batteries offer a long list of brands their battery will be "compatible" with). Here's a big hint: You get what you pay for. The phony, knockoff batteries are deeply discounted ($5-$6), while the real batteries cost more. This one is authentic, and it works fine in my phone. Take my strong advice--pay the extra amount and get the real Uniden battery. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches down the road.

I took a chance and ordered three of these batteries and they were from Richard's Superstore (Fulfilled by Amazon). The battery has the same physical dimensions as the original so it fits in the handset correctly not like what Elliot J. Feinberg's video review where the battery is shorter than the original. The battery has the sticker label where it says Battery Manufactured by GPI Made in China. I put the battery in my handset and charged for over 24 hours before first use and was able to make a call for nearly 60 minutes where my depleted original battery would die in just a few minutes. I was skeptical at first that perhaps this GPI made replacement might not perform but it seems to be doing its job and the price is right. Updated on 8/29: The other day I used the phone for over 2 1/2 hours before the battery low warning went off, I can't remember what the original battery life was when it was new, but this replacement is better than 15 minutes I was getting with the worn out original battery.

I ordered three batteries for my Uniden phones. I selected these batteries because the add and photos in the add made the batteries appear to be the same original factory batteries that came with the phones (Model BT-446). I wanted the same batteries because they had lasted for years. When the batteries arrived I was surprised that they were not the BT-446 batteries show in the add. The shipping was fast but the batteries I received were an aftermarket brand called New Energy and are green in color, not white. The battery number is MB-446. Although I felt cheated by the add, I needed my phones to work so I installed them instead of going through the hassle of returning them and trying again with a different company. I charged the batteries in my phones for a day and they appear to work fine. I do not know of this brand so I have no idea how long they will last. They have been in my phones for about a month and so far so good.

I was debating between this battery and the Energizer branded batteries (actually made by Audiovox) that many other people have purchased through Amazon. I've had my phones for about 5 years and the talk time was considerably less than it had been. I work from home a few days a week and am constantly on conference calls (using the hand unit speaker function) so I tend to give my batteries a work out. It was hard to sift through the reviews on batteries because it seemed most people did not remember how long the talk time was previously, so any new battery seems great. Well I charged these as per the recommendation and had my first test this week. After about 4 hours of speaker phone conversations the battery life was down one (out of three) bar. With the older batteries I would have had to switch to one of my other two phones. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend these batteries to anyone looking for an OEM replacement. Because I got so much life out of my old ones, I feel qualified to give some advice on extending the life: 1) Make sure you charge them at least 15 hours; I give it a full 24. 2) When you are not using the phone hang it up on the charging base. My old batteries are still good for the average person, so if I did not do so many conference calls on speaker they would probably last another 4 years.
