Glad I tried these bands!! These bands will fit horses with standard width legs
The bands work great! I usually take them off at night and wrap them tightly in a zip lock bag and put them back on in the morning, although I have left them on all night and they have not been out of place in the morning. This is my first set of bands and so far they are still working after two weeks of wear. The snaps are sturdy and easy to put on and off. The smell radiates up and around my horse and the flies do not bother her belly area, I have used fly spray but have not needed to on her legs. She has white legs and the brownish mark left by the bands washes off, there is no staining. Wish they had them for mini horses!!

Good idea...
Has a strong smell of citronella and other fly repellent fragrances which is good, but it says it fits an 8 - 8 1/2 inch fetlock. My mare measures between 8 - 8 1/2 inches and the bands were too big and slipped down, even at their smallest setting. Very disappointing as they smelled like they would be effective.Perhaps the plastic the bands are made of stretches in heat and since our Arizona summer temps are 105 +|- maybe it is too hot for the plastic. Or maybe I need bigger horses to fit the bands....?It's a good concept if it fits your horse.

Love them! But they need a boost.
My horse appreciates them. They work for about a month and then they loose their ooomph. I clean them (they get dirt embeded in the holes) and soak them in Natures Defense concentrate, the natural fly deterrent & theyre good as new! So I love them BUT they dont work for very long without some assistance.

should be Velcro but they WORK!
Hey these work! My horse is white and fly trails show up all of the time this summer. He hates them (who doesnt except for frogs) I was using Bannix also to clear up any fungus-was hard to tell where the flies left off sometimes. I put one on his leg and no flies up front!! Now they are going for his back- the only thing I suggest is that the snap be easier to fasten. I prefer velcro cuz it takes too long to get on his leg with the darn snap! He is fussy if im down there with his legs too long. That is why there is only one band on his leg at this time. I think he should wear at least two, fore and hind!

Great product; continuous protection vs
I was skeptical at first, but I noticed a difference in fly bites around the legs immediately. It's been a month since I put them on and there is still a difference. Great product; continuous protection vs. fly spray which wears off.

The leg bands didn't repel flies and caused sores on my horses legs.
I was excited to try these leg bands as I have a horse who is very allergic to bugs. I put all four leg bands on her and she ripped one off the first day. The snap held but the strap ripped. I noticed the flies still crawling all over her legs although they did tend to avoid landing directly on the bands. The worst thing was that they caused sores under the bands after two days of wearing them. If your horse has sensitive skin definitely avoid using these.
