If you are serious about long term storage of just about anything, you have to get some of these buckets. The rubber gasket along with the rachet-like, screw on lid prevent oxygen, moisture, and bugs from getting inside. The push button release is also handy for when you want to open the bucket. Of course you need to use oxygen absorbers. It is also best if you can store the bucket in a dark place that is not subject to wide temperature changes. While these buckets are expensive, they appear to be one of the best long-term storage methods I have found.

To store food for a long period of time.

Bucket is designed similar to child proof lid pill cases, except there is a handy release latch on the lid instead of pushing down on it to turn. If you pour things out of the bucket the snap-on screw lids suck. This bucket design is far better and keeps the inner bucket wall smooth. Handle is okay, otherwise bucket and lid are good quality. Perfect for storing dog food and the like.

These are great buckets. Very easy to open quickly but still very sealed

Because there are little tabs on the bottom they don't stack well. So this is a designer flaw. We are going to shave of the tabs ourselves. Everything else is awesome

I have used this product for grain storage in my nitrogen purging of these buckets… I sure find the gamma sealed lid buckets far easier to use and stack and have gone to them over this type of screw-ratchet lid. The bucket itself is quite sturdy in itself… it is just the lid that I am not fond of.

This has a special ridge with a guard to keep the top sealed where you place it. Push tha guard in to release it. Nothing in, nothing out.

I like the lids on these very much.
