It fits fine in the Lumix GX85, it does not block any of the function buttons.The problem is that the length of the arm is too short, the thumb and the index finger are too wide apart - I have large hands.I have another thumb grip that is 10mm longer making it better balanced and comfortable.The seller met my expectations and made adjustments according to my needs. Will buy from this seller again.

Came with no instructions -- not obvious how to install and use it. Useless for me.

This is a really well made little piece of gear for your GX85. The camera can be a little tricky to hold and this item gives you another study grip point. I put my thumb on it when using the camera one-handed and it really helps. It doesn't get in the way at all - unless you're using your hot shoe for something, of course.

This is a poor compromise for a handgrip. It is mostly in the way of other buttons. It probably works best on the GX1, but in my case it won't work on that camera either because I already have the accessory EVF on the hot shoe. Two stars is a generous rating. I would return it for a refund if my time was worth less. Don't buy it for a Panasonic camera..Gx1, GX7, or GX8.

While the LUMIX GX85 is very portable and loaded with functionality, Panasonic didn't do much to make it easy to hold. This thumb grip helped me tremendously with overcoming the struggle of my right hand holding the GX85.
